We rented a full size car in DUB and the first car we tried I could physically not get my legs in. After my compatriots recovered from their sudden paroxysms of mirth, we got a different car. :rolleyes:

Her Mom is kinda out of the picture, so some of the planning\thoughts\ideas are getting passed onto dear old dadwalker.
I was married once, come to think of it to her mom, but ours was a formal shotgun wedding-her dad painted the gun white.
I'm kidding, about the paint at least.
We got married just across the border(actually south of the border-yes those signs on I-95) so not much planning on our part, come to think of it planning or the lack there of played into the need for gun paint.
I have no idea what a wedding should cost. She was ready just to fly out to LAS and do a package deal at Venetian but I'd like her grandparents to attend their only grandchild's wedding and not certain they are up to long distance travel any more(still quizzing them on that)
so we are exploring options closer to home

Tell her to pick the two or three things that are most important to her and focus on those. Don't worry about everything else. And, as someone who paid for his own wedding (and is still paying), you can spend as much as you like. I was all for her parents, my parents, and a judge but she wanted a wedding. It didn't need to be huge or anything, but she had just a few things that she really wanted, and so we made those happen. The added benefit for us was that because we paid for almost everything, no one could lord over us what did or did not need to happen. I had no problems telling people with demands to write a check or piss off. :-:
