Also I think that part of the fleet is to be retired soon so they dont want to have the expense of adding something that won't be used long. I recall them talking about the 747s on the hanger tours at LH and how the retrofits for cabin features isn't happening all that quickly.

I believe turkey is a traditional German Christmas dish. I remember flying LH last year or the year before around this time of year and they had a special Christmas menu in C. I seem to remember that they served turkey and red cabbage. It wasn't terrible, but I can see how it might be frightening in Y.
