Also I think that part of the fleet is to be retired soon so they dont want to have the expense of adding something that won't be used long. I recall them talking about the 747s on the hanger tours at LH and how the retrofits for cabin features isn't happening all that quickly.

'soon' is very relative here, thet may be around for 5 years yet.

!? why would an airline serve turkey this time of year

I believe turkey is a traditional German Christmas dish. I remember flying LH last year or the year before around this time of year and they had a special Christmas menu in C. I seem to remember that they served turkey and red cabbage. It wasn't terrible, but I can see how it might be frightening in Y.

Goose is the traditional Christmas protein in Germany. It's somewhat transformed and become more focused on duck. I guess people feel sorry for the goose.

Are you sure that it is not on a three-year rotation? Like, duck, duck, goose?

Ah. That explains why I know the German word for goose and not turkey.

I also agree that no one should feel sorry for geese.

For those looking at the PRG DO, the Sheraton Charles Square is 89 EUR / night.
