Found some crossed strands of copper wire.

Can't activate the subwoofer last - the system is of a type where there's a brain cable running from the headunit to the sub.

Then you'll feel right at home when I launch my own hotel chain...

Every room will be designed to be a closet next to either: (a) icemaker, or (b) elevator. For rooms that can't meet those design specs, we will embed speakers in the wall that play a selection of either: (a) babies wailing, (b) small, yappy dogs barking, or (c) overly loud personal activities.

All toiletries will be Pantene.

I have a secret dream to run a hotel some day, and I would specifically highlight overly loud personal activities as a plus. :)

What was your 1st clue?

Inabitility to maintain a lane (there's only one) on the U.S. 59 HOV Lane, Inability to perceive large obstacles (thankfully cardboard) in the road, inability to spot overpass ramps with barricades in front (had to shout at him to divert him to the right), generally odd personal behavior.

If I don't make it to my AF flight due to reasons other than traffic, someone please forward this to my beneficiaries' wrongful-death attorney...

In my 5-ish years working in hotels, I only heard overly loud personal activities once, and it was in the middle of the day no less. The front desk manager used to send me upstairs to check on rooms that were due to check out. As I was walking down the hallway to the next room on the list, I thought I heard moaning. Nah, can't be, I thought. Surely it was. I won't admit how long I stood outside the door. Wrote down the room number, went back downstairs after my rounds to read the reservation. When I happened upon them, they were hot and heavy into it and they had only checked in about 20 minutes prior to me walking past the door.

Oh, and take it from a friend who would not steer you wrong. You don't want to run a hotel. Watch Hotel Babylon on BBCA and live vicariously thru them. Trust me.

Let me guess, you in Philly?

Seems everytime I hail a taxi in Philly the driver is high on something including one taxi where you definitely smelled the cannibis.
