So true. I went to the PC in ATL on my MR this past weekend to make sure I could use the free wi-fi to add in the MCI-ATL flight, before I got on ATL-SLC.

I am just going to weigh in on the XM...It's very nice during college football season and you are on a MR.

The other week I was on a MR during the UT/OWho? game and I badly wanted updates in the air...XM would have been nice.

Oh, I'm not saying XM isn't great. I have it in my car, and the one time I flew AirTran a few months ago, I enjoyed having it in the air. However, it's not reason enough for me to start flying AirTran on a regular basis.

Hey, I'm guilty of it too. I've turned on my computer after checking into a hotel at 11:30 PM before just to update FlightMemory and check FlyerTalk. It can be as addicting as smoking, alcohol, or drugs!

I steal wireless from the IAH C PC's. Yeah that guy with the laptop just outside, that's me.

Are there baggage lockers anywhere in IAH?

I don't want to carry two laptops on an upcoming trip and it would be much easier for me to drop my bag at one of these locations and take a singular laptop.

I've never seen signs for such a facility. Anyone know if they exist?

I don't think so. You could "accidentally" leave it in one of the locked storage cubbies at the PC, then call them after you fly off and inform them of the problem, arranging to pick it back up when you return through Houston (usually they'll fob it off on the Baggage Services Desk). Risky strategy, though, considering you have to leave a CC# on file to reserve the lockers there.

I only know this because I actually, accidentally, left a bag at the B PC in IAH once. The nice lady who I spoke to after panicking and calling them made sure the bag was waiting for me at baggage claim baggage services desk when I returned.

I'm not much for forward-thinking statements on the fly. However, picking AAPL & Berkshire Hathaway (B Share) a few years back turned out alright, and getting in on VMWare at $50 immediately after the IPO worked out fairly well, also :D

Now, if only I had held on to the CO stock I personally bought at about $7/share way back in 2004. Can't complain, though, as I doubled my money. 7x earnings would have been even sweeter...

Berkshire B has done alright by me, as well. ^

Yep. We already have an agreement that if we're traveling together, he gets to drive.

We're not to the point of really traveling much together yet, so no spoiling him with first class seats yet. One thing I will have to work on if we get to that point — his preferred airline is AirTran! He likes the XM.

It takes awhile to become sufficiently comfortable with burning valuable OnePass miles for the other person to fly with you in F. Better to give it time and be sure, because if you end up breaking up, your biggest regret will be the miles and points you wasted on the person. :D

Two years down the drain and all I have to show for it is being short 50k in miles.

Ain't that the truth? I learned that lesson once before in the past to the tune of 140,000 miles. Never again.

To make it worse, the breakup happened just a few days after returning from a vacation some of those miles were burned for.

Sorry for the loss of the miles, the loss of the relationship, or both?
