Bad experience on the IAH-ELP flight, the one bag I checked was not priority tagged, the one FA was extremely rude and the GA would not upgrade a Silver who had already given his upgrade to his elderly mother (even though two seats went out empty)

I still find NW's LAX-LAS direct flight to be a chuckle. Are they still bringing that many gamblers from NRT via LAX?

Every time I've tried to price that flight out, I can't or it comes out at some ridiculously high level.

Carino's is one of the few chains I actually like. :) I am rather picky about my foods, if I am not making it.

Really? Did this get announced anywhere? I hadn't heard this... Why would it be a bad thing?

Certainly, sir. I'm fairly certain that last year's attendees (rolov, sbm12, sdm1130) would play again if the date works. There were rumors that the Bagpairing would even make the journey north if we decided to have a larger Box Golf Thing up this way at the end of the summer. Early talk was centered around the other courses (four others but not the Black) at Bethpage State Park. I don't know if anyone else is up for that - although IIRC Hartmann said he would consider coming up for Jess to play...but given the no job thing I'm not one to be making hard plans that far in advance.

Assuming it's possible and it's wanted, I welcome the chance to plan something larger than we did last year.

If the group doesn't mind an awful player, i'd be game too. I really need to get out there more often.

I should have clarified - I was invited to AMS and I really don't have a choice since I'm not paying for air or hotel. :D

Awesome! ^^

I just got to AUS tonight. Now, tomorrow morning I have to run down to Waterloo and buy the local pass since I was being cheap this year and didn't buy the $400 pass. :)

I learned a few months ago that EWR they send out the priority bags and then the non-priority bags about 30 mins later. Sadly, I learned it because they tagged one bag as priority and not the other. I've learned to keep an eye when they are tagging 'em.

That's annoying about the GA, not cool at all.

If the plane was going out with empty FC seats and no other pax on the list, whats the harm in upgrading the silver's companion?

Sounds good to me!

Maybe we should all jump on the PHL-SAN fare and have a Torrey Pines DO. I'm sure we can scare a lot of people in the process. :D

It's not a bad thing, except soon the cartoon won't make any sense anymore. :D

Basically, the goal is to get all the non-midlavs 738 into 16/144. (Except for those based in GUM, which remain 14/141). I know the new deliveries are already 16/144, but I've flown a few older birds that had the conversion.

Hahaha, well, yeah, the cartoon will be lost on a lot of folks now.

So, do you know if they are proceeding with converting the 20F 738s to 16F versions? I heard it was happening a few months ago, but haven't heard anything more about it.
