We should plan a Do around that. Baseball, Whataburger, and of course, beer. With crappy Chautauqua CRJ flights on either end of it.

No, we should plan a DO around Indians baseball. Then you can all mainline it to CLE (except for you, who is still banished to CHQ from ATL ;) )

IMO, traffic flow and runways doesn't count for much on the punchlist when you still have to truck fuel to every aircraft. Build an underground fuel system and bring the place into the mid-20th century. And the CO area is the new and improved super-Awesome CO/UA area. The flight home from the Do that Olton and I were on used a UA gate.

Looks like there are quite a few weekend home games to choose from in July.

I can mainline it to CLE. There's always IAH and EWR for connections on CO.

It should rank higher when a single US 320 being pushed back can back up 25 other aircraft, resulting in a 45 minute departure delay at a CO gate, because there's simply not enough room between the concourses for planes to move in opposing directions at the same time.

So did CO move gates?

It seems they are starting to share some of the UA gates down at the end of D.

I think they've been using that gate for late flights for a while now. IIRC, on some nights, CO has 1 RJ and 2-3 mainlines parked in PHL.

The RJ that does the early CLE flight sleeps there, and I think the first three (maybe two, but I think three) IAH flights of the day have the aircraft originating in PHL. Two of the three 737's are the late arrivals from IAH, and the third is the 737 that comes in on the evening CLE flight. What I don't know since they have started the service is if any Q200's overnight at PHL for the short hop to EWR.

Fair point, but Philly is an inherently self-hating city, so when the airport was designed they probably never envisioned the hassles of today. Even the designers were probably thinking "Who the hell wants to go to Philly anyway?"

They obviously discounted the fact that everyone wants to leave PHL!

Just stopping in to make post 3,:rolleyes::rolleyes:.
