I suppose it was not that bad due to the medication...hehe I think I would have even enjoyed an engineering class considering what they pill'd me with! But in all seriousness, the pain was not bad due to the medication and the worst part was dealing with the bloody gauze that had to be changed out every few hours or so.

...and waking up with the taste of dried blood in your mouth; that was almost as bad as that ranch 'pizza' CO serves.

I was actually semi-conscious during my surgery, in what was described to me as a "twilight state." Don't ask why I chose that option - I would not choose it again. It was not painful in any way, but I experienced a moment of clarity where the oral surgeon pushed forcefully into my jaw to dig out one of the impacted teeth, and another where I remember the surgeon telling the surgical assistant something to the effect of, "hurry up with that suction - he's losing a lot of blood from that side!"

Hint to anyone having oral surgery - do not choose the "twilight" option if you do not want such memories.

Anybody have an opinion on getting two wisdom teeth extracted at once over one at a time?

Drink pineapple juice for a couple of days before the extraction, keeps the swelling down.

Vodka afterwards keeps the pain down.:D;)

I had a dream last night...

I had an exceptionally vivid dream last night...CO had launched a new, uber-luxurious 3-class transcon product on its 739ER's, designed to compete with UA PS, AA & VX. The seats up front were AZ's 777 Magnifica Class seats with very plush white leather. Intro fares were $800 roundtrip...and then I woke up :(

I think you're suppose to take the happy pills after your surgery, not before. :p

At least there is some upside to the procedure. :D

J. Edward, I saw a horse trailer with mighty fancy green & white checked curtains on 290 this weekend... was it YOU?

Haha - no, not quite.

We we were going to leave on Friday but the internet satalite dish would not deploy so the entire day was spent lining up the repair people/parts/etc. in Dallas. We did get on the road around 8am on Saturday and drove up to Llano Texas (~1 hour northwest-ish of AUS) where we stayed the night with friends. After that we drove up to Ft. Worth and yours truly fled back to DFW - and the loving embrace of CO F - as 1) Dad was flying up to help mom and 2) I had to back in IAH land for class on Monday.

But the rub was that I had to ride with the baby in the back...the baby who #@% and #@% on my shoes, leg and shorts. Yes, there's nothing like experience the lone start state in the back with no A/C of a horse trailer in the middle of the hot Texas summer...<sigh>...the abuse I take for free rent.

PforPlatinum: I could not get a good picture of the sat. dish as the damn thing was not working but I asked Dad to take a photo and when he sends it to me I'll post a link.

Horses? Cowboy Boots? Pickup Trucks? Equine Feces? You're starting to sound like an Aggie. ;)

It has been in the back of my mind all day that I may not get row 16 with my S/O on our flight to SFO tomorrow (752)... I already have the dreaded middle seat, I just want the extra legroom.

Get them all done at the same time, and do whatever it takes to be fully unconscious during the process. Some insurance carriers don't cover the extra charge to be fully out, but it is absolutely worthwhile.

I have a few questions about this thread, and life in general:

1) Why is this thread here?
2) What purpose does this thread serve?
3) Is this thread related to anything remotely associated with CO?
4) Why am I constantly posting mind-numbing crap on this thread?
5) Why is this one of the first threads that I check daily....or multiple times daily?
6) Will I get OnePass milage for posting on this thread? How about an advance EUA for my flight to FLL next Tuesday? :D :D :D
7) Will A&M beat Texas this year?
8) Why did I buy Grodo's book yeaterday, and then read about 100 pages before going to sleep?
9) When will CO initiate service to MUC?
10) Why am I considering taking advantage of a CO.com special to TUC this weekend, just to see Tombstone and also because I haven't been on an airplane in almost 2 weeks?

Everyone calm down! Nothing good's ever come once those words are uttered.

Two weeks for me, too. Starting to get a little edgy and shifty-eyed. Much longer and the wife will probably drive me to the airport and dump me on a plane herself.

I think I can sum it up... You're bored.

I think a more appropriate question is whether or not A&M will again be pummeled by Texas Tech

Not soon enough...

Christ, towards the end there I was starting to smell like an aggie!

:p:p

But seriously, I think it's time for another micro do in IAH; anyone game? :D

PS> Did anyone get in on the AZ fare mistake this morning?
