Probably because US expects to cancel the flight by then. :D
On an overnight flight like that, I'd actually prefer US over CO for the angled-flat seat (I don't really like the 764 BF seats on CO). You can snag good BBQ in teh terminal at CLT, and sleep semi-decently en route to GIG. Service isn't a big issue to me on a night-flight. Cool line, too. I really wish UA would send some 763s to South America. |

The JJ C seat loooks very similar to Asiana Biz and Lot Biz, the recline is not the best.

I have a very hard time sleeping on an angled-flat seat - the CO recliner is actually better for me. I'd consider it, but like you said, US is probably planning on dumping the flight between now and February. :)

Do they still have the drink of the month?
ABSOLUTE MANDARIN PUNCH While the cocktail is quintessentially an American invention, English punch has been around since before the term "cocktail" even appeared in print in 1808. Our Manadarin punch is as complex as the punches of old, but with a modern, refreshing twist which includes Absolut Mandarin Vodka, cranapple juice, orange juice and a splash of ginger ale. |

I'm with you on recliner vs. angled-flat, in general... but the CO recliner sucks, IMHO. Old UA C, MS A330 C, Old CZ C, Old AZ J, and OpenSkies Biz are all comfier recliners, to me. Only recliners I've had that are worse than CO are Old AF C and Old DL J.
So, you'd actually consider the UA 772 C seat (obviously not the new one they've just started to install) to South America? I've never sat in it... |

Old DL J is a disgrace (even when it's a free upgrade on a $240 TATL fare). A few manual adjustments to the CO recliner seat and I'm able to sleep pretty well in it.

20 min late on the suggestion, but it is a conference call, so: why not gently and respectfully jump in yourself with an initial point of, like, "what we might consider to solve this is..." Somebody on that call is supposed to be doing that, and it might refresh his memory. At the least, somebody else on that call will note your "get it done" mindset.
