I want a divorce from Tiger Woods. I'll take even less than $750 million.

I always assume if there are differences in various rules/benefits between OP and MP that the less consumer friendly will survive... and I'll just be happy if something else happens.

I'm close enough (about 140K EQM, after currently booked travel) to make achieving MMer pre-merger realistic, and don't currently favor any other FFP to the extent I did favor BD, such that I would forego the CO miles to earn in another FFP.

As promised on 30 Oct 09 to sbm12 and ALCO: what are the precise recommendations for 40k BD miles? I do have the OneWorld USA miles for a one-way as needed.

Two suggestions:

(1) Use 30,000mi. for a Cash+Mi. C redemption to South America, and use the remaining 10K for an Intra-Europe Zone 1 (UK, Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Republic of Ireland, Switzerland) whY award; or

(2) Purchase/Earn another 10K miles and do a Cash+Mi. JJ F redemption to S. America

That said, I'm an even stronger advocate of using the lowest common denominator that will effectively explain the purpose in business communication. And this is particularly true if someone is looking for venture capital. Presumptive availability of software tools, while maybe technologically legitimate and forward looking, is not always a customer friendly strategy.

Well, Notepad will meet most of those needs most of the time. ;)

And if it is something like a proposal or solicitation I'm much more in favor of PDF (or XPS, I guess) than a word processor document of any ilk.

Beg at the gate or RCC. Calling and asking will not work.

I'm nowhere close enough to MMer, but I'm still not going to put anything more into BD. I had my fun and I'm looking at 280K+ in miles still to redeem so I have a lot of trips to plan. :D

Yes and no. While the level granted is higher the spouse benefit on CO is quite nice. Being *G for life would be nice - I only made it 4 consecutive years on BD and it took 10 and it seems unlikely that it will survive after 2012 anyways - but I should have a chance to get there eventually anyways.

Thanks - that was the one I was remembering. When I figure out some dates, I'll ask about routing rules (I think this one allowed some creativity) ...

U.S. to S. America isn't one of the awards that will get you a zany routing, like U.S.-Europe-S. America.

Only Europe-S. America allows routing via N. America.

Ah - you knew what I was suggesting. You should be concerned.

Intra Zone-4 (Antigua, Argentina, Bahamas, Barbados, Bermuda, Bolivia, Brazil, Caribbean, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Martinique, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, St Lucia, St Thomas, Uruguay,Venezuela) Cash+mi. C award for 22,500 (just buy the 2,500 points).

Basically, just start in SJU, then route back through the mainland U.S. before heading down to S. America. You'll need to take either CO or AC from SJU, because UA or US F from SJU would bump the redemption up to full F prices for the whole itinerary (CO and AC only count as C in the front cabin).

And to reiterate Dell's commitment to quality (has come up in teh Box recently). It's bad when it's alleged you won't repair the faulty computers owned by the law firm defending you in the faulty computer lawsuit ...

Did this change? FRA used to be a permitted stopover point on N. America - Deep S. America on BD.

I believe I've heard anecdotal reports of INP on recent attempts to do this. Considering that :-: now has much deeper reach into S. America, thanks to JJ and CO, I wouldn't be surprised to learn that shenanigans routings to S. America have completely dried up (especially considering that between TP and JJ, there are now tons of options to S. America from Europe).
