I'm close enough (about 140K EQM, after currently booked travel) to make achieving MMer pre-merger realistic, and don't currently favor any other FFP to the extent I did favor BD, such that I would forego the CO miles to earn in another FFP.

Two suggestions:

(1) Use 30,000mi. for a Cash+Mi. C redemption to South America, and use the remaining 10K for an Intra-Europe Zone 1 (UK, Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Republic of Ireland, Switzerland) whY award; or

(2) Purchase/Earn another 10K miles and do a Cash+Mi. JJ F redemption to S. America

Well, Notepad will meet most of those needs most of the time. ;)

And if it is something like a proposal or solicitation I'm much more in favor of PDF (or XPS, I guess) than a word processor document of any ilk.

I'm nowhere close enough to MMer, but I'm still not going to put anything more into BD. I had my fun and I'm looking at 280K+ in miles still to redeem so I have a lot of trips to plan. :D
Yes and no. While the level granted is higher the spouse benefit on CO is quite nice. Being *G for life would be nice - I only made it 4 consecutive years on BD and it took 10 and it seems unlikely that it will survive after 2012 anyways - but I should have a chance to get there eventually anyways.

U.S. to S. America isn't one of the awards that will get you a zany routing, like U.S.-Europe-S. America.

Only Europe-S. America allows routing via N. America.

Ah - you knew what I was suggesting. You should be concerned.

Intra Zone-4 (Antigua, Argentina, Bahamas, Barbados, Bermuda, Bolivia, Brazil, Caribbean, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Martinique, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, St Lucia, St Thomas, Uruguay,Venezuela) Cash+mi. C award for 22,500 (just buy the 2,500 points).

Basically, just start in SJU, then route back through the mainland U.S. before heading down to S. America. You'll need to take either CO or AC from SJU, because UA or US F from SJU would bump the redemption up to full F prices for the whole itinerary (CO and AC only count as C in the front cabin).

And to reiterate Dell's commitment to quality (has come up in teh Box recently). It's bad when it's alleged you won't repair the faulty computers owned by the law firm defending you in the faulty computer lawsuit ...

I believe I've heard anecdotal reports of INP on recent attempts to do this. Considering that :-: now has much deeper reach into S. America, thanks to JJ and CO, I wouldn't be surprised to learn that shenanigans routings to S. America have completely dried up (especially considering that between TP and JJ, there are now tons of options to S. America from Europe).

I would like to get down to EZE soon.
