So in my case it would be best to re-position to ORD? No F on AC or CO out of BNA. Something like:

Positioning flight (WN, UA, OneWorld USA): BNA-CHI
*A: ORD-(connection)-EZE
OneWorld USA: EZE-DFW-BNA

I take it you plan to eschew Cash+Mi redemption and just book a one-way award to S. America with BD? You can haz the roundtrip for 30K Mi. + 180GBP Cash (+ whatever taxes/fees, which should be low depending on the :-: carriers you choose). At present exchange rates, teh cash portion is only about $260, which ain't bad for roundtrip C to S. America.

I'm not saying you won't get an INP from some agent in Pune, but explaining to the agent that there are no direct :-: flights to S. America and escalating to a supervisor should generally do the trick. If that doesn't work, hang up and call back. BD ICC is like a box of chocolates...

So, 2 C+P rewards on JJ F (N. America to S. America) would only require 80k miles?

Is the 2.5x multiplier only for LH F flights?

No. C+P F is 2.5x for whichever carrier. So, it would be 50K for Mainland U.S.-S.America, and 37.5K for SJU/Caribbean-S. America
