In other news, it looks like we will be in your neck of the woods in Sept.

Do you have dates yet?

I think 5 drops of rain fell around me. Still humid but temp is now nice. Got to drive with windows open. ^

Had some of the hamburgers from the PA Dutch Farmers Market today. My verdict is much better than the crap from the grocery store.

I was very happy with a recent stay at the LM.

Some may even say it's a short walk to the Golden Gate Bridge. :p

Just sleep under an overpass. You'll receive better Generalissimo elite perks. Priority placement by the trash-can fire and a complimentary glass of pruno are included.

I really wish SPG had a property like that in TX.

Are you paying $ or points?

I really like the LM -- it is probably the nicest of the hotels I stay in regularly or semi-regularly for business. It is, however, in the financial district and may be dead on weekends. Trustguy stays there all the time; maybe he'll chime in with tips.

I wouldn't expect any benefits as a Gold, since I never seem to get anything there as a Plat.

Westin La Cantera would be close, if it had a lazy river.

ETA - I also am partial to the Sheraton South Padre Island, but picking the right time of year to go is key. The beach is no fun when it's 105 degrees and disgustingly humid, or when it's packed with Spring Breakers.
