The West Coast and Northeast are generally pretty steep, considering how regularly WN used to discount those routes compared to CO and other legacies.

WN has also raised their fares from PHL a bit over the past year. Flights to Florida seem more expensive than last year. I'm actually a bit surprised they have kept HOU as a route from PHL since both CO and US serve it several times a day. They must sell a lot of intra-Texas connections there.

If you're really desperate, you can try BWI and drive or take the choo choo. Amtrak advance purchase fares seem pretty reasonable these days. (You'll need the train or a car to get to Princeton anyway.)

Didn't WN just launch a three day sale today?

Cool. Will have to go check their latest prices.

Think it's time to write to BD?

That's at least 3 here that are in the one oar boat

WN's cheapest option is $350.40a/i, with flight times that suck. CO's more desirable flight times are ~$33Xa/i.

Also look at LGA. I've seen some decent fares in/out of LGA lately and it's about the same distance from Princeton.

Or if you want to go for elusive lines, look at flying into ABE. ;)

I refuse to add something operated by a bus to my FM.

We signed up w/ Gexa who was, and still is offering miles. So far w/ Gexa, so good.^ I don't know anyone who uses Energy Plus.

ETA: After catching up in the 'Box, now I know someone who does.

UA doesn't use buses and US may still fly PHL-ABE on puddle jumpers.

On BWI-CLE, WN's least restrictive fares are now nearly double what they were a year ago. BWI-Florida also is more expensive.

must be interesting to choose whom you buy power from. We only have one source here

Looks can be deceiving. Texas has some of the highest electric rates in the country. When it was regulated, it was cheaper from what I hear. In this case, competition is not such a good thing. There is still one provider, and they sell power to different companies, which in turn sell to you. So, in effect, you have a middleman to markup the costs.

Hmmm. ~$429a/i IAH-PTY-UIO/GYE fare on CM. Shame you can't book the CM/CO codeshare ex-IAH on Copaair.com, else you could snag the 2K RDM bonus along with the 25% EQM Bonus. EQM Bonus would apply to tickets booked through the Copa call center, though. Unlike the comparable CO fare, the CM fare does not appear to have a 3-day min, and only requires a saturday night stay. ^

+1 on the electric deregulation.

As for the "smart meters," I haven't been able to take advantage of it. How is it so "smart?" Our electric rates haven't varied much since the new meter was put in back in December.

History is doomed to repeat itself. Fares will probably continue to increase until the next harebrained LCC concept jumps into the market to wreak havoc on the industry.

Speak again. Both CO and WN want $296+ from IAH/HOU-FLL during the late June dates I am looking for.
