I think that it is well over day 1,000. I lost track a while back.

Lucky guy. Better than I'm doing these days. 3 days out now and hoping that CO will decide they're not going to sell 5 and 11 F seats, respectively, for Friday's flights. If "EUA is broken" means all of you guys getting 5-day upgrades, well, then, it looks like EUA is working swimmingly.

tjtenor4, of course, is all set with his UA upgrades. He has already cleared SFO-RNO, our one segment in common, but not the companion (me).

We've already decided that the general practice going forward will be to do rock/paper/scissors for the F seat if only one clears (figure that'll get us close enough to 50-50 over time). However, if I clear NEITHER of my outbound segments he says I ought to take it, and I think that's fair.

What do the rest of you partnered people do when you don't both clear? Particularly when there isn't anyone super-tall in the relationship (so this rules out ssullivan, etc. - who are our other Box skyscrapers?) :p Case by case basis?

I looked up the RNO weather last night. This weekend it will rain on both Saturday and Sunday. Highs will be in the upper 40s, lows in the upper 30s. I am SO not looking forward to that.

We have been outdone!! There is a whole Forum Site dedicated to beer!!

Before the trip, I let her pick if she'd like the upgrades on the outbound segment(s) or the return segment(s). She gets whatever upgrade(s) clear on the direction she picks and I get whatever upgrade(s) clear in the other direction. Sometimes that means she gets to sit up front twice and I don't get to sit up front at all, but we think it works out well in the long run.

Apparently the bear needed EMS assistance.

CM's weather forcast has stated this

sdm1130 May 18, 2010 12:17 pm

Fun with C:rolleyes:mcast: selecting individual Internet and TV packages (and adding the HD option) is over $400 cheaper during the first year than getting their HD Triple Play package that includes Internet, HD TV and phone.

ETA: How am I supposed to pick a TV package when I get this message when viewing the channel line-up:

We are currently working to provide channel lineup information for your area.

I had to wear a tie once, for a costume, and remember thinking how sorry I felt for that half of the population who had to knot things tightly around their necks DAILY.

Particularly male singers in concert dress (black tie, etc) - after all, respiratory openness and freedom are pretty important!

I guess we're not the only ones who have to undergo serious discomfort in the name of looking nice. Not sure whether it trumps high heels, but I don't envy y'all a bit.

I always offer on a segment-by-segment basis and live with the resulting decision. I make sure that the Y seat is one I would prefer when booking the seats, assuming that I'll lose every time. Sometimes I get to ride up front, sometimes I don't.

The trick is to have shirts that actually fit correctly. It shouldn't feel like a noose if it is done right.

Neither of us are vertically gifted...we fit quite comfortably in most exit row seats. So far our practice has been to choose prime exit row aisle/window seats (with him in the better seat if there is one). Hope for the companion upgrade but if only mine comes through, lucky person in 15E gets asked if they "mind" moving to 2A so that we can sit together. I think it's time we consider a change in policy...
