Uh-oh. I better set my next year to: .

Only if she wants to be. The more people we have involved the more calendars we can sell, I hope. :D

* I don't watch it myself, though my wife insisted that I see the version of Madonna's Vogue that they did the other night.

I'm don't think it's a parody of HSM and based on the first couple of episodes, it seemed like they were trying to have a similar feel while keeping it more artistically genuine. If the fakery is by design, then the show has instantly gone from insulting to douchey in my eyes.

I really think musically they were onto something in the first couple episides but then someone said "hey....let's make this more like High School Musical" and then the awful overprocessing began.

Producers of Glee and other "live music" shows: If you're going to have a band on screen looking like they're backing up the singer, don't have the song use completely different instruments than we're seeing.....it insults our intelligence. When I watch a band, the first thing I focus on is the drummer.....if he's not even hitting his drums, if the drums in the song are obviously synthesized and he's "playing" a real kit, or if there's a fill in the song yet he just keeps "playing" the beat, your show is getting turned off!

If you want it to look like real musicians are playing, here's a hint: HIRE REAL MUSICIANS AND LET THEM PLAY! If and of you come to see my band sometime, there may be a bad note here and there and every song won't be perfect but everything you hear will be completely LIVE....that's what real music is about.[/RANT]

So not a fan of Archie, Teh Partridge Family or Teh Monkees growing up?

I'm going back upstairs to get dressed for some PT - hope the Embassy Suites has some decent equipment in their recreation room.

I wasn't so keen on it. And I was somehow able to keep the free WiFi router from downstairs (free) connected as I went up to the sixth floor. ^

I stand corrected. Google yields a NY Times article that quoted the creator as never having seen HSM.

On the other hand, Teh PM likes it.

Peppers were on the board as "free" here.

I don't think Steve GadFly was a 11-year-old girl in the early '70s.

I am not a musician but I wholeheartedly agree with Steve's assessment of music in TV and movies.

Stride mystery gum....tastes like some messy fruit mixture, like all starburst flavors together maybe? very overly sweet in flavor.
