I think you underestimate the number of people who will gladly pick up free wood. There's also Freecycle...

It's more many, many branches that I need to get rid of. Any real pieces would be desired by fireplace people but this little fact isn't going to change the price. It's the chipping of the branches, cutting up the big stuff, and removing the stump that's the cost.

Sounds good - I have peppered ham, spinach, and beer coming in about three minutes.

Okay -- have fun! I've generally cut down dead trees or cut up fallen trees in the woods near my parent's house, so I never worried about the stumps. You're right, though -- LOTS of brush :p

We have a winner.

It was so nice to light up the Weber gas grill for the first time this year. I think I will have to do that again tomorrow.

I will have some fun with the chain saw. I will remove the branch sitting on my neighbors lawn in a couple of days so it doesn't kill their grass.

That's about the only way a steak's going into my oven. Did have to broil steaks at ex-girlfriend's home (no grill).

The one thing to take care on is the balance of the tree - there's a point where the stump will right itself (and fast).
