Katie Couric was just referred to on Rachael Ray as a "Hero of the Colon". That's accurate on a level that the show's writers probably weren't thinking of.

I was hoping for a cage match, if I'm going to be forced to watch

May be getting 4-8 both Wednesday and Thursday nights.

My mother-in-law, who lives in Westchester and thus well south of you, just called very worried about her flight to YYZ on Thursday. Accuweather implies that there will not be much snow south of Poughkeepsie. Is that accurate?

Neat, Oklahoma snow. ;)

I guess I have to get ready to go to work now. I hope traffic will de- itself by the time I'm ready to get on the road.

A few weeks back I was at the JW Marriott Houston where the crew for the SQ IAH - DME - SIN flight was checking out. Imagine that picture times about 35, plus flight deck crew (who were old white guys).

It has gotten markedly better in the last half hour or so.

If this were not the forecast for Thursday I'd be a bit worried! 61° F - 38° F!

I'm surprised that they stay so far away from IAH.

Yeah, I was surprised about that too but I suppose it really isn't that big of a deal from a ground transport perspective. They only have one flight to worry about so I would imagine there is less need for them to be adjacent to the airport for any emergent crew availability issues.

Yes, so far it sound like it's hitting more upstate. Weather sites aren't giving much in the way of numbers yet but the paper is doing a little fear mongering. It's working.
