I need to defrost LittleMissBrit.

She has been in teh backyard for 3 hours building an "igloo".

Bless that child's heart! She had a shovel and was digging away and throwing herself into it like her life depended on it. :D:D:D

She has managed to build a pretty decent "igloo" - and she's all of 8yrs old.

Bad, mean Mommy wouldn't go out in the snow to help! I watched out of the window.....:D

110 miles from my door to GRK, and I make it in about 2 hours and 10 min.

All the box denizens are treated to my lovely little British birthday ditty on teh occasion of their birth. :D:D:D:D

Thank you very much to both of you! The big 38 today.:( I feel 20 years older trying to take care of a 15 month old since she takes a lot out of me - though, it is worth it. Mrs. photog72 is taking me out to dinner tonight. Where? I'm guessing it's a surprise.^

I don't want to snow on her parade, but make sure it can't collapse on her.@:-) It's happened a time or two up here with kids digging snow tunnels and the like.

The secret to a good igloo, is a LOT of buckets of WATER. It makes it freeze to a solid state. Take it from the TX eskimo :)

it will also survive in 60 degree weather for a long time (week+)

Oh, don't worry! It's not such a sophisticated "igloo". It doesn't have a roof! It is basically a circle of snow piled up to about 24" high, but in her mind it's an "igloo" and that's all that counts! if she continued building, though, it could become a proper igloo.

However, Mommy won't let her put a roof on it - bad, mean mommy!! :D:D:D

Meh! 38! You're a young'un!

But, I know what you mean with the little one taking it out of you! I was 42 when I had LittleMissBrit and she certainly kept me fit! but, she also keeps me young at heart and I wouldn't trade her for all the tea or chocolate in China!

^^

Plus, this particular winter is (a) a tough one and (b) has me really ticked off because it is putting a serious spanner in the works in getting my house built.

We are at a standstill because of the snow last week and the impending snow tonight.:mad:
