 TX state fair is terrible about having new wild things. Fried coke syrup, fried snickers (YUCK!), fried all kinds of junk.

D@mn! A recent MX on CO resulting in a cancellation cost ME about $1000 (need to schedule a second trip as a result) and all I got was a measly $175, and that's after hard-ball (or so I thought) negotiation skills after their offer of $125. Super-duper-

So I've read through the NYC forums and see that the Dial7 car service gets pretty mixed reviews. I have already made a reservation with them but is this a good idea?

How about a gift card to Sephora? Most 18yr old girls I know love anything to do with the "body" - bath foam, soaps, make-up, hair care products, etc.

But, it depends on how much you want to spend. You could go all out and buy her a really nice bag - most 18yr olds love to carry a "label" bag. Paging baglady! Paging baglady!

+1 for sephora. my favorite store!!!

Cars are often dirty. I prefer a cab over 777-7777.

If you are looking for a town car instead of a taxi, I have a company that I can recommend.

Yeah, I'd prefer a service for the arrival, can you PM me the name?

Thanks!

Thanks, all. Not sure if the shakes I have are nervous shakes or caffeine shakes. I think I hit it out of the park; we shall find out on Monday if the hotel agrees with me. Extra-large thank you to Tinkerer for the document review. :-:

Good work. I'm in the BNA SC with a guy 20 feet away yelling on a cell phone.
