Account Wiped Out!

I just logged in to my account to check in for my flight and was in for a shock. All my miles were gone, I no longer have elite status and all my reservations (including the one for today) and next week are gone as well.

Any idea what's going on? Anyone else experience this?

CO has just announced that it has terminated the OnePass elite program, effective immediately. All accounts will be closed and all milegage not used by August 10th, 2006, is forfeited. In addition, all existing reservations will be cancelled.

I was told by a CSR at the Elite desk that this was as a result of the CO/UA merger.

Yes. Former CO elites will have to re-earn status on the new ContinentalUnited by December 31, 2006 at UA earning levels (25k/50k/100k), in order to qualify for the 2007 elite program year. In addition, no comps from CO to ContinentalUnited Elite Status will be offered.

Elite miles will be awarded at 50% of the actual miles travelled for Greyhound portions. No points or segment credit will be issued. Upgrades, of course, will not be available.

HA! CO.BOMB is letting me as a lowly silver elite to pre-reserve premium exit-row greyhound seats away from the bathroom!
And you Plat's thought only you could do that!

That explains why they reduced the Barbie Dream Jet fleet.

Yeah - I just bought a DCA-CLE-SFO Z fare and the DCA-CLE segment is on a Greyhound. Good news, though - CO has installed check-in kiosks at Greyhound terminals so that we don't have to wait in the Greyhound elite lines to check bags.
