CLE - What to do?
I'm stuck in CLE all day tomorrow -- 5pm flight and everything earlier is overbooked, so almost no chance of going out standby. Anyone got any suggestions on a good way to spend the day? What's fun to do in the area this time of year? I hate to spend the entire day lounging in the P-club if I can get out and about. I'll have a car if that helps.

That was going to be one of my first suggestions, plus a couple other things.

How about the "Must eat" eateries downtown? I tried Brasa grill last night; it was incredible. Anything else I should be aware of? I like all types of ethnic cuisine, including the insanely hot (e.g. Thai, Indian, etc).
Gotta eat lunch somewhere!

Beware- Rock&Roll Hall of Fame is not for everyone.
The idea that what had been youthful and rebellious music is now institutionalized and made mainstream and showcased by the Man seems to be completely orthogonal to the freedom and wildness of R&Rs growing years.
That notion, and seeing endless jackets or guitars used by people who used to be famous and even now may be active on the nostalgia circuit, will either be cool ,or leave one's spirit feeling somehow diminished.

The hall may not be for everyone but my company took about 100 of us and about 95% had an awesome time. So, it may not be for everyone but it is great for most people. Have fun. Go Tribe. Go Cavs. Go Browns.

Try going to Ohio City, Tremont or the Downtown districts of Playhouse Square, Gateway, Warehouse district or the Flats. These areas are easily accessible by the Red Line Rapid (subway)
The St. Clair - Super area is full of lots of artist lofts and Asian Village with some unknown but AWESOME asian restaurants, but you also find ethopian, somilian, Dominican, Puerto Rican restaurants and this area is home to the worlds best corned beef restaurant.
University Circle's cultural institutions are second to none, although the CMA is closed for a massive expansion, there is still plenty to see.
Buckeye-Shaker Square/Larchmere, is a old school neighborhood sorta like NYCs upperwest side or Brooklyn Hts. Diverse, great restaurants and stores, accessible by the Green/Blue Light Rail from Tower City.
Edgewater is nice, some nice restaurant and nice views of downtown and the lake.
