staying in tokyo while changing flight. is this possible??

Hello, im taking continental to tokyo and changing flight to china airline to Taiwan(final destination). Here is my question. IF im changing flights in Tokyo, am allow to stay in tokyo for about 3 days before connecting flight to Taiwan?? basically taking another date onto china airline to taiwan. If so which airline should i contact?? Im getting this ticket online(cheaptickets)

Hi, and welcome to FT,
You really need to contact whoever is to issue the ticket, as only they will be able to tell you whether the fare you are travelling on entitles to a stopover in Tokyo. Most fares on the Continental website are usually marked "with stops" underneath the fare, which indicates that you can break your journey. And you do not say where you are travelling from. Continental flights from the USA seem to be routed not via Tokyo, but via the Eva Air flights to Taipei via from West Coast cities.

There may be direct flights from the WC but CO doesnt fly into TPE even from Guam its CI that flys
