I was starting to feel a little left out, when I remembered that I hadn't checked my mail today - and there it was...
6 trips - 30,000 bonus miles
7 trips - +5,000 bonus miles
8 trips - +5,000 bonus miles
--------
maximum = 40,000

Oh, I forgot to mention - I almost always fly on "el cheapo" fares... and for the last several years, I never seem to travel between Jan 1 and April 15. The bulk of my travel begins in the spring.
Okay - so how do we do this in conjunction with the continetal.com promotion of the bonus miles if we can't use co.com to select "non T or Q" fares?

The rules say that T and Q fares are excluded. What happens to multi-segment roundtrips with different fares. For example, Houston>>Newark (Q) Newark>>Tel Aviv (B) return. Would this qualify as one credit or not?

Sorry, just me again... had to voice a little frustration. If I'm reading the fares correctly - this promotion seems a little useless to me if one cannot use Q or T in conjunction with it. I'm pricing a day trip to CRP from AUS for a day in December (at least 14 day adv):
T - 106.00
T - 140.00
T - 146.00
T - 186.00
Q - 202.00
-----------
B - 482.00
D - 582.00
Y - 582.00
A - 710.00
Y - 968.00
F - 1392.00
The promotion looks nice on the cover (especially on that nice paper), but I don't see paying 2.5 times the highest lower fare just to qualify...
Okay - I'll let someone else talk now.

30 roundtrips = 180,000 miles
34 roundtrips = 204,000 miles
40 roundtrips = 240,000 miles
Too many trips (40), not enough time (6 months), and too high of a fare (no Q or T fares) required to make this an attractive offer.

I know this is an old post, but I too go targeted.
lots of miles but need 40 RT's.
DId a trip am EWR to Boston, 8 hours later Boston-iah-sea, then rwo days later
portland-iah-ewr
I only got credited for 1 RT, they did not count the ewr-boston as 1/2 rt as it was the same day. That negates doing mileage runs to try and get up to 40 RT's

I have until September 30th, 2002, to complete 40 round trips for 320k miles.
Right now, it looks like I am going to be 9 round trips short.
Living in Austin, I am thinking of taking quick trips into Houston (IAH) to complete the 9 round trips... I can probably keep the cost to $1100-$1500.
I do not have the Q/T fare restriction; does anyone have suggestions/caveats about doing this? (i.e. no return within 4 hours, etc.?)
Thanks in advance,
Brian

If you have more time than miles, you might consider running to EFD instead of IAH. You'd get an additional 1000mi per each trip and it's only a couple bucks more than IAH.
You can only complete one AUS-IAH-EFD-IAH-AUS a day, though.

I received offers like this from CO as well - one of them was after I opened up my OnePass account but didn't take a single flight for about a year - I get a letter saying that since I am a new Onepass customer who hasn't taken my first flight, they are offering my with an oppurtunity to earn upto 20000 miles for 3 flights (any class even Q, T). It worked I took my first flight and got half of those 20,000 miles.
Then a few months later, they sent me another offer saying that they are happy I took my first flight but want me to keep flying - so they were offering me like 7500 miles for every flight (except Q and T).
My neighbour got a letter saying that it's been a while since he flew so they are giving him 10,000 miles for every flight. I tried registering under that code but it didn't work.
The whole point of these promtions in to get less freqent flyers to fly and it works a lot of times. For those of you who already fly a lot, CO has no reason to give you an incentive besides those already in places (Elite Status, etc.)

Ms. monitor got one of these offers last fall and is now home free on the first plateau of 216,000 miles for 27 trips. I wonder how they came up with those numbers and then got her and not me? I have a very similar flying pattern to hers and about the same seven figure mileage bank with them, but no dice.
