Yeah, but these days their airplanes aren't that old - their Airbuses and 757's are quite nice and they've parked their last 737-200's.
I fly into PHX a lot, out of DFW, and while I will fly CO via IAH when I can, because I like CO, HP's nonstop service is, quite frankly, superior to American's.

There are antitrust considerations since CO flies a shuttle between EWR and DCA/BOS. Don't forget, the Delta Shuttle started out with New York Air, owned by Texas Air which then owned CO and Texas International. They had to sell it to Pan Am because of antitrust considerations when CO bought People Express.

Oh yess. I did forget that little bit of history. Anti-Trust is ever changing though, who knows how it might hold up in today's courts...

It's not a really great merger....because there's little overlap and routings that make sense.
Are people really going to fly SJC-PHX-PHL-BLAH ?
I'm thinking not.
