"..."if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all..."

That works for me! Agreement with cigarman!

NjDavid said to me: "Cigarman the source of my information about CO is real. Whether or not it pans out the way I was told it would remains to be seen. Some people with less of a bone to pick have asked me about it privately, and I responded. The only people who have sounded like a broken record on the CO forum since the start of the year are you and your pal above. Perhaps you should just get a life as well.

My apologies again to the community"

NjDavid, My point is you took the Deny thing to an unheard of level. We had to see that "deny deny deny" junk on almost every thread for about three months. I don't have a bone to pick, except I personally believe you have lost all objectivity. Even again in this post you hold out the possiblity the CO is going to do something bad again... You bring up this "man" thing. So to follow your analogy, why can't you be a man and admit that that everything CO does isn't aimed at taking something away or reducing benefits? You sound the real broken record... one tune. You might recall I agree/ agreed that EAU was the pits. I supported you until you lost all objectivity. I sometimes like the changes, and sometimes I don't. However, unlike you I get over it and don't predispose EVERYTHING CO does is bad. Maybe an apology for the constant CO bashing would be more approprate? You clearly were wrong on these latest changes. Can CO never be forgiven? Or is it going to be a case of the troll under the bride saying, saying "I told you so" every time CO makes a change?
Lastly, I am a seperate person than Im4travel. I think for myself, perhaps it is conceivable that people who fly CO... actually LIKE the airline they choose to fly? And thus by you bashing it, it makes them defend the thing they chose? Bottom line. You had hundreds of Deny posts, your gonna have to be a big boy and put up with the (3 whole threads by the way) "i told you so's" by us for a week or two. We certainly won't drag this out as long as you drug out the deny thing. But, if you dish it out you gotta learn how to take it. We are proud of CO and they won a whole bunch of awards. So we are going to say... "we told you they would win again". I do not appreciate your get a life comment... I did not take this to the land of actually creating a web site because I was mad. Perhaps, a little civility in your responses would be appropriate. You railed against a certain now banned poster, yet I never personally attack you, and you insist on making things personal. There is a difference between a debate and an attack. I do not intend to get banned, but I do intend to debate the whole negative "deny, deny, deny" movement. I do agree that another poster makes it personal with you... however, I do not. Keep it civil, I have a valid point. You may not like my point but that doesn't mean you have to resort to slurs. Debators may not agree, but they do not have to make it personal. I'm going to drop this now as it is becoming conter productive and is losing any bearing on CO at this point. See you on future thread.

I very much appreciate the civil tone of the above post. What it says essentially is that it's possible to disagree without taking it to the level of a personal attack or baiting.

"Because we recognize our members growing interest in getting the most out of OnePass, we are introducing an exciting new way to achieve Elite status. Mileage segments are now counted as Elite points, which allow you to participate in offers that accelerate your ability to earn Elite status."

I'm very confused. I obtained Elite status last year based on segments, not miles flown, as I take short trips. What are "Elite Points" as opposed to elite miles?

What exactly does this mean?

What does this "mileage segments will be counted as points towards Elite status" mean? Segments have always counted towards Elite status...last year I obtained Silver on segments, not miles, since I fly relatively short distances.

I'm confused.

Perhaps we could ALL remember that it is simply a business!

CO is just trying to make money! As much of it as possible! As soon as possible! For as long as possible! And so on...

This will potentially help explain quite a few things regarding why they (CO) do what they do! Think "the bottom line!"

So they want us to be "happy" and to fly CO all the time rather than another carrier - but the profits are equally as important - and we should not forget it!

Put yourself in their situation! What would you do?

Cigarman...I totally agree with your post above....maybe I took it a little...ok... ALOT too far with NJDavid...I actually liked him in the beginning...but his constant negativity really rubs me the wrong way. You are correct...I LIKE the airline that I choose to fly...and am forced to defend it whenever NJDavid arrives on the scene. Maybe I'll re-think this and offer an olive branch to NJDavid...let's get back on topic..
