Growing up in the 1990's in Houston meant I saw Continental go from the verge of a final bankruptcy to being the only major US airline in the last 10 years not to into bankruptcy.

From the meatball to rebuilding to thriving to surviving two hostile takeovers to leading the industry in good times and bad, CO will be missed.

A relative worked for CO during the Bethune years. I experienced, first hand, the difference he made.

I retired in 2000 with approx 5600 miles in my OnePass account and decided to travel the world for scuba diving and to see some amazing sites. I now have 1,120,000 and still counting.

My first trip in Aug 2000 was to BII (Bikini Atoll) and I have never looked back.

Thanks CO and Air Mike for a wonderful ride.

It's sad to recall all the many airlines I have outlived in my

50 years of high mileage flying (only joking about Varney)

Well, one new problem. The website won't remember who I am when I return.
