can you reuse the unused leg of award ticket?

have taken the first leg, but did not take the return leg (which I am supposed to take a few weeks ago)
can I pay the change date fee to reuse the unused leg?

Only if you cancelled the return leg prior to departure. If you no-showed it, the ticket has no value.

It's pretty standard practice for revenue tickets, and I'm sure it's in the fare rules or contract of carriage somewhere.

This is what it says this on an award ticket receipt from CO I booked a few days ago, "All changes must be made prior to the departure date, or the ticket has no value."

have been waiting the customer service for 2 hours, still in the queue, is this normal?

is this 800.231.0856 number you usually call to make international ticket change?

We were going from Frankfurt to the US last month ang got downgraded from F to business in January. When Lufthansa would not put us in First, we purchased a ticket on Swiss, and had them document the record when they denied us boarding at the airport at FRA. Using the downgraded-unused segment at a later date hardly compensates for the mess.

In the past 29 years I have blown though over 3 million One Pass miles, and this was the worst experience. The past 12 years have been just bad in the quality of service from One Pass.

I don't see why LH downgrading you has anything to do with OP. Or the topic in this thread.

BECAUSE THE DOWNGRADED SEGMENT WAS NOT USED --- can you reuse the unused leg of award ticket?
