Hi all,
New to this forum so I hope I'm publishing in the right spot. My daughter and I are flying the day after tomorrow. I was looking at the seat map tonight and saw two bulkhead seats open (at a price, of course) and scooped them up. The email confirmation I got, though, only showed being charged for one and when I looked at the seat map, one of us was now in the front, while the other was in the back.
I called Continental and after a long wait the operator did confirm that they'd successfully moved us together, and that we were sitting in the bulkhead seats. The problem is, when I look at my reservation, we're still in our old seats - but when I look at the seat map outside of my reservation (checking the flight's status), our old seats are open and the bulkhead seats are taken.
The operator assured me that we are in the bulkhead but I'm confused why that wouldn't show. And now I'm concerned that we won't even have our OLD seats.
Anybody have this happen?

Happens sometimes due to sync issues.
Sleep on it, and it'll be fine the next day.
When you check in tomorrow right at 24-hours prior, you'll have one last chance to get seats, and if for some reason, bulkhead isn't where you are, the "Elite" seating on CO (towards the front of the plane) will be available to you, and you'll be able to pick a better seat than your original. (After which you can call CO and demand a refund for the bulkhead seats you bought).

Thanks for the quick reply! I'm actually a Silver now (which I know means I could get the bulkhead for free tomorrow but I went for the seats because the flight is completely full and my daughter is in a car seat so bulkhead is ideal - read, no kicking). And actually, when I called CO with the problem they were having some issues too so they ended up not charging me for the seats anyway.
The op. did say they actually called the airport to make the change so I'm hoping that means we're "in the system" correctly.
But thanks again for the reply!

Thanks for the reply! I'm actually Silver now anyway, which I know means I could have waited and gotten the bulkhead seats for free tomorrow anyway. But I jumped on them because the flight is full and my daughter happens to be a 21 month old in a car seat. Bulkheads are ideal for a "kick-free zone." That's really why I care so much.
The op. I spoke to reassured me that I was "in their system" in the bulkhead seats and that they'd actually called the airport to make the switch (true? Who knows?). And they actually didn't end up charging me since they were having issues.
I've just done the cross-country flight so many times by myself with my daughter . . . I know how much the bulkhead helps and I was pumped to have been able to snag it.
