Did gate know I was in PC?
...or did a change in my seating "blip" in PC?
Flying LAX-OGG yesterday. 1st fully booked, only one not checked in, so I was figuring UG chances slim. Podium at PC calls me and hands me 4E. Did the gate know I was in PC after I logged in there, or does the PC podium get notification from the sytem re change of seats for passengers who have entered? Just curious...
Also, first time trying IAH-OGG via LAX and was pleasantly surprised, inspite of late incoming plane from EWR (late departure plus hellacious nose wind). Choice of 3 meals up front plus sundae from the Cleveland(!) based crew. Glad they get this perk (for a while?).....

There is nothing automated that I am aware. This would not work at IAH - since too many clubs and too many gates.
Nice on the part of the LAX PC.

Agents are able to see which customers have entered the PC and at what time, but this wass definitely an "extra mile" instance by the LAX PC staff, who happen to be among the best in the system.

LAX PC agents complete the 'holy trinity' of PC perfection with FLL and HNL. They are truly a great team.

I have talked to my friends in the PC and they say that the gate can see that you are in the club and which one in fact. They will call down to the PC at times. Don't know who made the call here but either way it was proactive and very customer forward on their part!
