Too bad on the DL gates -- actually like that pier -- very airy and bright and not that old. But having airside all connected is a helpful goal.
Also I believe AA is still moving to the new terminal -- there was a blog post on sfgate recently pointing out the large new admirals club under construction.

Phase 2 (2012-2014) will see the removal of the AS gates
Phase 3 (2015-2016) will see 15 gates added and the US/SW gate area removed
Phase 4 (2017-2018) DL gates are removed and mover straight in gates added

I can't stand those loons at the booth across from the PC!
I do hope that the great CO PC staff from SFO remain club agents over on the other side.
CO has <20 flights a day out of SFO, I think they'll have little problem folding them into the UA side; CO is busiest in the morning, when there is an abundance of space in the int'l terminal, so even if United can't take over all of T3 yet, they can probably handle the UA flights to IAH, EWR and CLE.
I expect that the AA club will become a RCC when they move out, that'll balance out the space and would be great for that concourse and the terminal side concourse. (AC also shares that space)

Indeed, though, AA is moving to T2 with Virgin America next year, according to the website.

Anyone know how long it takes to get from CO gates T1 to UA gates in T3? I have a MR coming up and prefer not to overnight but only have 42 min connection time. It seems like you have leave T1 and then go back through security at T3. Thanks!

We have a bus that will take you there. The bus leaves from the area near Gate 32, down the stairs and will drop you off at the D Terminal for UA. All of this is one the air-side of security, which should save you time.

Even with the bus I shudder at the thought of being able to make that connection. Is that a single booking?

Wonder what is the freq of the bus? I am sure it would be better than going through security again. The CO flight comes in from IAH at 9:53 pm. Originally when I booked it, it was 9:43 pm. The last UA flight to LAX leaves at 10:35pm. Separate tickets. I guess the 10 min has become a big factor.

That UA flight is 80% on time. The CO flight is 67% on time.
This could be ugly.

SFO T1 Elite Security Area
I have not been through T1 in a while... I used to fly AS a lot through here, but all flights lately on UA / T3.
I was surprised to see that they have extended the security area to the right (as you go in). It was always too crowded before, today it was nice to cut over to the right and breeze right through security.
On another note, this wing (the CO gate area) of T1 is definitely a little tired... It will be a lot nicer when it is rebuilt / redone. On the positive side, a lot of space, especially up towards gates 33 / 34.
