It will increase due to an additional plane likely coming online between now and then. It will decrease due to the LHR service being guaranteed. As CO is just starting that rotation and we don't know where else those planes are going it is too early to know for sure just how bad the numbers are. But with the 18 hours down-time in HKG every day I'm guessing that route will be a lower priority so as to keep the planes closer to EWR/IAH for the LHR service.

On the other hand, CO99 usually takes the aircraft that returns from LHR as CO29.
The schedule for CO99 on 6/2 is #017 the flat bed that comes back from LHR. So, in fact, EWR-HKG may be almost 100% flat bed, except for the days they need to a rotate an unconverted one to HKG for conversion.

Looking at 6/2 eastbound:
34: #003 flat bed
4: #015 flat bed
28: #002 flat bed
18: #113 flat bed
112: #131 flat bed
110: #129 flat bed
Compared to the aircraft for 6/1, you'll find that the IAH-LHR aircraft are dedicated. Which makes sense, as a IAH-LHR roundtrip takes about 19-20 hours.
The EWR-LHR aircraft are rotated with other flat beds in the system.

Edit: Disregard my theory. 6/3 CO99 using aircraft from FRA, #009. No flat bed.

So the seatmap shows the new congfig. The only row available was 11, so I took 11E. But what if it's the old config? Where do they move me as 11 doesn't exist!!

This being my first post, may I thank those who regularly contribute here for their valuable insights and information over the weeks that I have been reading FT.
There has been a public commitment for some time now from CO that all 777 flights from LHR will feature the new flatbed configuration from 1 June.
Recently when looking at the seat maps, it appears that outbound flights in June are shown with the old configuration, whilst inbound ones are shown with the new. I know that the maps are not to be fully trusted, but this is a notable recent difference.
The seat installation process section of co.com has not been updated for over a week (it has been changed weekly of late) and still only shows 10 out of 20 tail numbers having been converted.
The 'Tracking 777s with Flat Beds' thread on FT has not been as active as it was either.
Anyone have an insight into how realistic it is that all 777s touching LHR will have the new seats from next Tuesday ?

My parents are flying CO98 on 6/8, and they'll get flat-bed again, as CO99 on 6/6 is again taking the aircraft arriving from LHR.

the new lie flats are amazing, why? because you can do anything from lie flat to sititng up and all in between!
It is not either or, it is seamlessly up and down and stop anywhere. I don't like lie flat seats, in a plane it feels like your blood is rushing to your head as your feet are higher.
I had the old style seat going to PEK a couple weeks ago and lieflat coming back, the difference was night and day. The old lounger style footrest is a piece of junk, the new one is fully supportive of your legs and the ottoman allows a fully RELAXING comfort to your legs. The pull out tray table on the lie flats also just works better than the old one, but do beware not to pinch yourself like I did the first time I put it back in.
furthermore if you have any desire to watch a movie the new screen is a vast improvement over the old lounger seat in armrest screen setup.

757 Flatbed Configuration
Last week I flew IAH - EWR - GIG. The first leg was a 757 tail # 110 that was configured with the new seats and systems, great. Still the aging 767 to GIG though.
