...that I would not get my luggage on my outgoing or retuning flight? Seriously I thought I was flying US.
EWR-LAX-FAT: 45 minute layover and it didn't make it
FAT-SFO-EWR: 1 Hour layover and it didn't make it
Both hubs being united and the FAT legs were on UA. Isn't a legal connection 35 minutes which should suggest there was enough time for them to transfer?
I requested compensation for my parking($1) at FAT since i needed my stuff for a meeting. It is not about the money but the principle and the inconvenience of going back to the airport at 4AM.

Lesson Learned
NEVER check anything that you can't do without for a few days
or that you can't replace easily (and let them deliver)

FAT does not have a lost bag guy who drives around to area hotels delivering lost bags?

Requesting $1 for parking?
Why didn't you ask for an apology-type voucher since you came in on your own and spared them the courier expense.
I've had good luck with that approach, and I'd rather have a $25 or $50 voucher than a $1 reimbursement.

I really don't care about a voucher, I am sure they will give me some other kind of credit since I highly doubt they will send me $1. The purpose of the complaint was not for restitution anyway. They need to fix the issue and transfer baggage properly.
