About two years ago I was flying EWR-PBI on a 752 and Chelsea screwed up the catering and accidentally catered the flight as if it were going INTL.
The crew was very late and rushed to get the flight out, thus they elected to fly the flight as catered rather than re-cater for a short haul domestic flight.
I think that both Y and F were happy with their decision. Best domestic flight in a long time.

The crew was really awesome about it...they served the apps and salad at once and then served the entrees.
Finally they ran through with ice cream sundaes pre-made in the galley.

Back on topic: I had these for the first and last time last night. Wow. When did CO decide to bring back hardtack for long-distance trips?
This was a level of bad that CO rarely gets to intentionally.

Seriously, I think we have this whole 'gourmet slider' trend to blame. Virtually every decent to upscale restaurant I've been to lately has attempted some sort of slider variation... what a cheap cop-out, but they are rarely cheap! Stuffy restaurants where a good, old-fashioned hamburger was far too declasse to ever appear on a menu now seem to have embraced the concept, though I highly doubt CO's sliders are anything reminiscent of (or even resembling) Kobe beef.

I still think the best way to protest would be to give direct feedback, especially since it is a test. I want my cheese back!!!

Once CO establishes a proper feedback channel, sure. Right now, WE CARE will just tell them they paid for transportation, not a meal. What's the point?

Department heads value this info and sometimes use it to make changes.

I saw these for the first time last Thursday night. Here's a picture of them if you've not experienced this meal yet. It wasn't horrible (maybe I was just very hungry) but I prefer the old cheeseburger.
And yes, that is the broccoli cheese soup. Check out the side salad too. It has had some improvement, with the pecans and feta cheese (well, not an improvement in the minds of the cheese haters).

Had this meal last night. Ate part of one of them... pretty gross. But then, I thought the regular burger in F was gross too. But, having the entree plus soup and salad was nice instead of just soup. I just wish the soups weren't always cream or cheese based.

The American Airlines cheeseburger in F beats the CO versions hands down. I was beyond impressed with having a cheeseburger (as a "snack"!) with a glass of champagne in AA F on a late night ORD-SEA to position for my SEA-NRT run last Thanksgiving.

Lentil is not cream or cheese, and the shrimp soup is tomato based, so not all of them are cream or cheese.
