Happy to say it was a snap with my new PC card with the *A logo to get into the US AIRWAYS Club. Very nice club, super nice ladies... and there is free WiFi [with a complimentary T Mobile password given upon entry]. There is also complimentary Budweiser and Bud Light and Beringer California Collection Chardonnay and the same brand Merlot. The food was the same cheese and crackers we have, Sunchips, potato chips and an oriental snack mix.
The only snag at the moment is that Continental is on one concourse and the Club is on the other so you must clear Security both times. The US AIRWAYS Club ladies said Continental is moving to the United/US AIRWAYS concourse pretty soon... hope so. IT was a very nice experience in this lounge. Previous to this no lounge for PC members

That's good to know. We travel through there a lot on our way to our daughter's house. Thanks for posting this information.

It's a pretty nice lounge - great staffers there when I used to frequent it. Makes sense that CO would move over there - plenty of room in that concourse - CO can easily take the former DL gates at 47/49 without displacing anyone.
Heck, given the downturn in traffic at GSO, they could easily move Delta back to their old gates at 47/49, have CO move into some of the US gates and mothball the rest of the airport since traffic is down so much there.

I have actually talked to one of the managers for the concessions at the Airport, and the airlines refuse to move over to the concourse where the club is, because they charge close to double the amount to be in the US Airways concourse. The airlines are complaining, and are trying to move to the other concourse. The only reason CO would move is when they are forced to, because they do not want to pay for the increase in rent that would come with a move. Also, if the airport was going to consolidate to one concourse (which granted they could very easily from a gate space perspective, especially once US stops flying GSO-LGA) they would have to redo the ticket counters to move all airlines close without having to trek across the upper level.

I vaguely remember back in the day GSO was a hub for CO Lite. Did we have a PC there at the time? Could it have become the US Club?

No idea on a historical PC there, but the CO Lite club was based out of the North Concourse, while the US Airways Club is on the South Concourse. There used to be a small Eastern Ionosphere Club in GSO where Gate 20 is currently...not sure if that ever became a PC.

Interesting...I would have found it to be the opposite since the North Concourse was just expanded. However, it does make some sense since there's a lack of jetways up there.

Yes, there was a CO President's Club in the North Concourse when GSO was a hub (it was the old Eastern club). Im surprised (like mersk862) that the rates are higher in the South Concourse. It would make sense to have CO there and make it a "STAR alliance" terminal (at least useful for lounge access or the occasional connection...believe it or not, they do happen sometimes!).
The US Club is very nice at GSO, recently remodeled. The lounge ladies are wonderful too!
