If they follow you all your tweets appear on their page. Although those with lots of followers may never see it. (I'd be lucky to see 5% of the tweets of the 1000 odd I'm currently following, unless specifically addressed to me see below.)

If you put @<theirtwittername> anywhere in the tweet then it will appear on their www.twitter.com/replies page.

You can also direct message anyone who follows you (works a bit like FT private message but only to those who follow each other).

Okay - but are people expected to search on the # comment, or is it just there to bring it to the recipient's attention? I'm assuming the messages, even when searched, are only available to those within your permitted access group?

Makes it easier to find things.

Using twitter search http://search.twitter.com/search?q=flyertalk
Using hashtags website (more functionality) http://www.hashtags.org/tag/flyertalk/messages

Just read this updated topic, so I see you are indeed from FT. I'll follow you. And my hostel, as usual, was nice.

It will appear on their page as well, though as Kiwi Flyer said, it may be helpful to DM (direct message) them.

When I recently asked a young computer/techno-savvy friend if she twittered, she looked at me with a dumb-founded stare and asked "Who gives a crap if I am enjoying a ham and cheese sandwich?" ^

Who is on Twitter?

Searched and came up empty but I hope I can find and follow a few good FT'ers to keep up to date. I always do my best tweeting in airports on layovers anyway.

You can find me at the link in my signature @dcvaquero
