SwanlakeFTL came back with some new and valuable information:

With public transport, THF to SXF will take about one hour, with 2 to 3 exchanges. From "our" hotel area to SXF about the same time, but you can stay in the train.

At THF, there is a luggage locker room, opend daily between 6 am and 9 pm.

Thank you, SwanlakeFTL

szg, seem you want to share a tent with other FTlers. Will be funny!

In the voting Corange is in front, it's also my favorite. So should we finish the voting with this result?

The hotel situation in BER is also still unclear, but now, as it's available again (or I was too stupid to find a rate ), I've booked the junior suite in the IC - 261 EUR.
It's flexible so changes are possbile, but szg I don't think we have to change anything?!

Looks like, I will arrive by car from SZG. If somebody needs a lift, I have space available on the route SZG-MHG.

IC Berlin - Steffen0212, good choice !!

I've also booked the IC, though for the basic room category. But I'm sure my room will still have a minibar!

What timing! I'll be running in the Berlin Marathon on Sept. 28th (Sunday). Is there a get-together planned for Sunday evening? I'll be staying at the Ritz.

So that explains why the hotels were so expensive (for Berlin) that weekend! And why a lot of hotels are booked solid. @:-)

The marathon might also affect some of the tour plans you folks have. This is one of the biggest marathons in the world, and there will surely be lots of closures. Here's a map of the course: http://www.real-berlin-marathon.com/...strecke.en.php
