Beaver Sports right there has a pretty cool selection of gear. I remember drooling over a commuter bike with studded tires...

What a coincidence that I just happened to eat at Pad Thai last week while doing my laundry just up the street. ^^
Although the Thai House is generally considered the best of the lot, one of my current favorites is Lin's Asian Bistro. They do Chinese, Thai and Sushi with a bit of occasional fusion but the Thai food is always very good. Also Bahn Thai downtown on Third and Lemon Grass out on Giest Road are quite nice.

One of my favorite holes in the wall was Pizza 4 Less--specifically their Indian menu (they had a killer saffron rice with chicken). Unfortunately, last time I was in Fairbanks, they told me they didn't make Indian food anymore (too labor-intensive, apparently).

I'm in Delta Junction for work, and will be driving up to Fairbanks tomorrow. I have to get some groceries, and will be working on Monday. So I have to hit the road probably not 6 pm or so. Would be happy to meet up -drop me a PM if interested.
Also hoping to make it to Anchorage next weekend......

All right - it appears we'll have representation at WFF on
the 26th. My friends are also taking me to the first game
of the Mayor's Cup between the Bucs and the Bush Pilots
on the 1st. Between those two dates, nothing has been
proposed. BOB W is leaving town the 28th, so does anyone
have an idea for a get-together on the 27th? Or
we could see him off at ANC on the 28th.

I could do something Monday night, but doubt I could make the B-B ala J-C. That takes several hours. Of course, I could let Michael in the house and he could get it started. It's not hard, just time consuming.
The other option is to make it Sunday and reheat it Monday night. It would still be very good.Serious raiding of the "walls" would be included.^

NHRA=National Hot Rod Association-9,000 HP cars going from 0 to330 MPH in a quarter mile drag strip race
BB al JC=Boeuf Borgignone ala Julia Child
The Walls=three separate sections of walls where approximately 400 bottles of wine are resting peacefully on their sides
I hope that clears everything up.

And I know Michael can cook after watching him prepare a wonderful Caprese Salad at the Cabbage DO. ^^
