Hope to hear back from violist soon...looks like there's not a lot of seats left on that date...

I will get hold my my friends Bill and Connie to see
what seats they have for 7/26, but I'm guessing
sitting together may be difficult. I am amenable to a
get-together on any other date in my range (until 8/2).

violist: I'm available for a Whale Fat Follies fun-filled fantacular event on 7/26. Shall we attempt to sit together? Do you know your table/seat number?

Alternatively, I can be available for a more traditional FT gathering on any Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday.

Anyone doing something for the July 4th weekend? I'm returning tonight and will be home until the 6th. Actually got upgraded on the flight tonight which is pretty unusual for a mere Gold!

I might be on a road trip to Manley Hot Springs (last road in Alaska--at least connected to the rest of the North American road system--that I haven't been on). If the road trip falls through, I'm free.

Hey there, Jackal ~

I'll be in Denali Park on Sunday evening - I finish my Eielson run at 5:30pm. I could probably trade and get off an hour earlier if need be. If you're heading southbound back to Anchorage we could meet locally for burgers and beer. I made $4.78 in tips this week, so I'll buy the beer. We'll split it!

Also, I'll be in Fairbanks on Monday the 4th all day. Lotsa good Thai food as you probably know plus one new Philippino restaurant. In a trailer. Also, the rescue mission serves a good bowl of soup some days. And the bowling alley's got halfway decent chili. Ain't got no Mr. White Keys, but I'll take you down on 2 Street and I'm sure we could rustle up sufficient entertainment even though they've outlawed fortified wines in the city limits. Lemme know...

LOL, we'll see. I'll likely be heading up to FAI on Sunday, Manley on Monday (and back to FAI), and then either back to ANC late Monday night or overnighting again in FAI (assuming we can find a place to stay that isn't ridonculously expensive).

There is surprisingly good Thai up there... my friend took me to a small place near a bookstore and radio shack [that was closed-wanted a power strip for my trip to HEL] - and was pretty spicy the way I like it
