I was successful in acquiring a native product of Mexico that we will all very much enjoy. :)

Tortillas? Excellent :)

Maybe with these new items we celebrate cinco de mayo early and do something different?

Will tortillas hold up until the 5th?

Greetings Alaskans. Was pointed to this thread by a fellow traveller as a place for helpful Alaska advice.

In two weeks I have a free Friday - Sunday to spend in Alaska. The only restriction being that I need to get from ANC to FAI before Monday morning. Any thoughts on what could be done during that stretch? Some options I have considered are taking the train from ANC to FAI on Saturday, hiking Flattop in ANC, heading to Seward or some other drive-able destination.

Please help me to stop being indecisive.

Welcome!

You might get a couple of recommendations from this thread, and a few of the locals might even arrange to meet up with you (which is the primary purpose of this thread), but if you really want solid trip planning advice, head here:

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/alaska-449/

The folks who hang out there have tons of advice to give on what to see and where to head.

You are correct, of course. I'll be staying at the Courtyard at the International Airport. In my narrow framework, it's a Marriott if I can use Marriott points to stay there.

I'm still planning to be there from the afternoon of July 11 to mid-day on July 12 and would love to have a beer or brunch with anyone in the area. I'm hoping to have some good bear photographs to show but I won't force anyone to look at them.

FWIW, I just learned that, with my Chase Ink Plus credit card, I can get a club pass that lets me hang out at the Alaska Boardroom in ANC and LAX. Pretty cool.
