Just made it home and am washing clothes, packing, etc. I'm hoping to standby for a 6AM flight (so for those of you starting on the west coast, don't be surprised when I fall asleep at dinner!), in which case I'd make it to SFO by 11:33AM, give or take.

Really looking forward to it!^

Are cameras allowed at the GG tour?

I haven't heard otherwise, so I would bring it. Worst case scenario you can store it there.

Also, it's the Golden Gate Ferry, rather than the (nonexistent) Golden State Ferry.

The weather is looking great, hope it holds out for the weekend! Bring light jackets, those San Francisco fleeces from Pier 39 aren't too stylish (although we appreciate the contributions to the local economy). ;)

Safe flights, and look forward to seeing everyone.

Have a safe trip to all those flying in, can't wait to see everyone tomorrow!

Well, I'm still awake and my alarm is set for 2hr19min from now.... damn!

We've had a cancellation for Buca, so if anyone still wants to join us, please let us know.

Yeah, highs in the low 70s and lows in the high 50s here in the city proper. And sunny! ^

Temperatures in the 70s are hot (or at least warm) by San Francisco standards. ;) No joke. So if you're used to 80s, 90s, 100s, you will feel a chill.

Ah. Nice weather without feeling too cold then KathyWdrf!

(Yes - I'm at LHR at the moment)

1 hour 50 till boarding commences - and add anohter 45 minutes till wheels up. Flight is showing ontime so hopefully I'll make it slightly early... before I get grilled by INS...

See you there!

Um, remind me please, because I can't find the post here...

For those of us going on the GG tour, are we meeting in the food court by the Int'l G terminal at SFO? And when? I'd rather not try to find my way there on my own.

Please post ASAP so I don't miss you guys. :)

lucky9876coins Sep 26, 2008 1:34 am

Yes, we're meeting at the food court at 12:30PM, and we'll probably be there until at least 1:15PM, at which point we'll head over together.

Right on, thanks. I'll meet you guys at 1:15pm, then. :) I guess we have to pay for our own parking... :p Oh well.

Figured I'd let everyone know that I likely won't have internet access until at least tonight, so phone/SMS is better than PM/email from hereon out. I'm at TPA and we're leaving in a bit.... hoping to get on this flight.

Hope you guys have a fantastic DO. I'm still in New Zealand (which is not so bad!), but will be thinking of you all over the weekend.

Anyone on UA 930 @ 4:17pm LAX-SFO today? I'm on that flight, PM me if you are too :)

Yuppers! I went out this AM when it was 60 degrees, almost went back inside to grab my jacket!

Well not quite as exciting as those of you who are flying in, but I'm on my way to the Dublin/Pleasanton Bart station now. After reading this, I think I will bring my SF fleece that I bought for $15 at Fisherman's Wharf the weekend of Sept 6. It was really hot here at home, but even with a sweater I froze;. However, I was closer to the ocean, the Embarcadero/Union Square area is warmer.

Really looking forward to meeting everyone at the first SF MEGA Do function. My plan is to get to the food terminal between 12:30 & 1:00. Feel free to ask me any questions about the Alaskan cruise I just returned from, courtesy of the greatest message board ever, FT, and Samuel of Cruise Holidays Calgary!
