Many thanks to lucky for organizing a terrific Do and to
kalkat for an excellent deck party that almost obviated
the need for dinner. Speaking of which, I didn't perhaps eat
enough at Lulu to sop up the wine ... eventually made my way
safely (though sleepily and a tad tipsily) back to the wilds of
the East Bay though.

Kudos and many thanks to kalkat and mr. kalkat for again hosting a wonderful event, sharing their wonderful home (and for some of us, lagoon) with a ravenous crowd. The food from the CIA soon-to-be-graduate was fantastic (although I understand that the best dish was made by kalkat herself), the weather was perfect, and I hope we behaved ourselves well enough to deserve such hospitality!

On to dim sum....

Richard - I wasn't there - didn't arrive at SFO till around 7 and was pretty tired - was still on EDT. Sorry I missed seeing you again too.

I hope everyone who posts pictures posts them somewhere where others have a way to add notes, i.e. identifying information... I've met so many awesome folks and my brain being not quite as sharp as it used to be, there's no way I'll be able to put faces with handles with names later without the help of visual aids!!! :)

I'm having a blast so far, off to dim sum in a few and again, if people want to come over and hang out before their late(r) flights, I'm very near the ballpark/CalTrain depot, about four blocks south of IC.

Get the address from me at dim sum or PM if you want to stop by, I'll be checking frequently.

Many thanks to everyone who planned the activties for this great event. It was my first "land" Do, and I have now promised myself to read Community Buzz more often so that I can plan to attend future Do's. My special thanks to Lucky, sfogate, and kalkat for spending their time to plan & host the most wonderful functions!

First question everyone asked--do you post on the UA board? Felt a little sheepish, as I think I was the only one there who flies WN. But after hearing the discussions about clubs & lounges all over the world, I get why you all aren't WN fans.

I so much enjoyed meeting everyone--or as many as I could. So many FTers--Peteropny, I didn't know you were at kalkat's party, as I would have liked to have said say hi. A very special thanks to kalkat and Mr. kalkat for all their hard work in volunteering their beautiful home for Saturday's gathering.

The turnout for this Do was incredible. When I mention what I did this weekend to my friends and family, they are astounded that people from as far away as London and all over the U.S. came here for the weekend. Only FTers would understand.

Hope you are all enjoying your dim sum this morning. Can't wait to see your pictures UA_Flyer! Diamedic, I will see you when you come to Livermore (I was quite surprised that my daughter knew all about your venue--she was even more surprised when I told her we would be going there).

Safe travels to everyone moving on later today and tomorrow. I look forward to seeing you all again some day in the future!

saturday night was a blast. it was great to see old friends and faces and to meet a bunch new folks ^.

i have about 20 pictures but no place to post them. i will be sending the to lucky, but if someone has a place for them please let me know (and no worries, every one's political careers are safe ;))

This was a fantastic DO and thanks for Lucky and Wireless for organizing. Also, thanks to KalKat for the fantastic deck party and for the contributors to the IC party. I am looking forward to seeing everyone's pictures.

Thanks to all of you for coming to the deck party. Really. I had a great time too, because of all you perfect guests! And for those of you who helped in different ways, from rescuing the dog to ferrying people from the ferry to mixing (very stiff) drinks, more thanks.

My only regret is that I didn't get to talk to everyone, and didn't get enough time with those I did talk to.

mr. kalkat happily takes all the credit, so we're cool for next year. That is, if Lucky's doing the Mega DO again.

Thank you also for the many, many wonderful gifts you brought. We will enjoy them all.

I would also like to thank sfogate, who arranged the very interesting tour on Friday. I sat next to her at lunch on Friday, and she is yet another great FTer.

Just got back into New York. totmode and I managed to get on the 7:29 am SFO-JFK PS flight (from our original SFO-EWR) and got upgraded to C.:D

Thanks to all of you for making this DO so enjoyable, especially Lucky, Wireless, Kalkat and sfogate. I still cannot believe Kevincm (with non-US passport) managed to deplane, clear INS/Custom and get to the foodcourt in 26 minutes without running. Sorry that you have to sit in 61B (UA744) flying home to LHR tomorrow.:eek:

At SFO right now with N334AA waiting for my flight back home. Thanks to all those that helped out, especially Wireless, kalkat, and sfogate, and of course the countless others that helped with logistics and of course beverages.;)

Sadly I think I caught a cold, and a redeye definitely won't help with that. Can't wait to get home and sleep at this point.

Anyway, thanks again to everyone that made it, I had a great time (and plenty of opportunities to laugh), and I hope to see all of you soon (and many of you in two weeks)! It was nice to see some old friends again and also meet some FT'ers for the first time.^

I want to thank the organizers, Lucky and wireless, for again hosting a splendid Do. It was great seeing old friends and meeting new ones!

Also, many thanks to sfogate for setting up the Gate Gourmet tour--that was really interesting, and I won't ever view airplane food the same again! Our GC guides were extremely gracious in showing our group around and answering all our questions, not to mention feeding us an UA F/C meal.
