I would like to thank Wireless and lucky9876coins for putting on such wonderful do. Also a special thanks to kalcat for the deck party. You were absolutely brilliant by providing the dog for entertainment.

goalie and nroscoe, it was a great pleasure to meet up with both of you after a while of trading posts.

wendyhamburger thank you for trusting with vast amounts of money until I could replenish my stash.

I had an interesting flight from DEN-ORD. It turns out my seatmate was Whoopi Goldberg but it didn't click until yesterday (I don't watch much TV or movies). We had an interesting conversation about politics and life and she must have had great fun feeding the bs that I so gullibly swallowed. When we were taking about careers, she told that she was a square dance caller and travelled all over the world calling square dancers - Japan is a real hot bed of square dancing. I bought it hook, line, and sinker expressing amazement that there was such a lucrative career in square dancing. :):o Anyway she was a lot of fun to share some drinks with.

it was a pleasure as well along with goalie-sis saying hi after the fact/after the picture (and nice seatmate ^)

I have no idea why so many of you came home sick, but I'm healthy. Must be some UA strain of bacteria... ;) :)

I had a wonderful time meeting so many FTers. A big thanks to lucky and Wireless, sfogate for the very cool tour and especially the lovely Kalkat (and Mr. Kalkat) for graciously opening up their fabulous home to us. And special thanks to Kevincm for the generous stash of wine gums!

Sorry THS - Whoopi doesn't fly. She only takes her own tour bus when she travels (I think when she goes overseas she takes a ship and uses her bus when she arrives, but she refuses to fly).

So, looks like you sat next to a square dance caller after all :D

I guess Pinky and Wendyhamburger (both CO flyers) got an early welcome from UA well ahead CO entering codeshare with UA and *A.;)

BTW, I checkd out your website, and will definitely recommend your tours to my friends who love nothing but shop!!

Let's hope this isn't a prediction of things to come! Thanks for welcoming me into the family, but I'm not really into sharing germs of any kind - even family germs...

Just getting back online.... Thanks to lucky and Wireless for another great weekend! I've been to a few DOs now, and I have to admit I'm partial to those around SF, even if I don't get to do a mileage run--the IC parties more than make up for it.

I'm so sorry that some people came down with a bug (meanwhile knocking on wood; my +1 would be very upset this weekend). I hope we didn't make a bad impression on our CO guests--not too bad, anyway--and I can't wait to hear more about the UA-CO Celebratory Hub-to-Hub DO some time next year!

Great pics!

Great weekend too, thanks to the organizers. I wish I was feeling better on Sat - looks like I missed a great time.

Thank you Lucky and wireless, for hosting yet another awesome SF Mega-DO! Hope to see you all again next year or sooner! ^^^

BTW, my +1 was stricken with a cold but I was spared. We blame it on the cold weather and the 41F refrigerated rooms at GG. FWIW, I was in Buffalo for 4yrs, so the cold doesnt bother me much.

Kevincm Oct 2, 2008 9:41 am

I've finally finished the trip report for it...

Enjoy! :D
