HONOLULU march 1 through march 3 do!

HONOLULU DO

aloha to all flyertalkers who got in on the great deal from dfw/lax to hnl on march 1st or therabouts...shall we try to get together for meals or fun in the 50th state?

i'm arriving on march 1st and leaving at 5p on the 3rd...am thinking brunch or dinner on sunday, march 2nd would probably be best. anyone?

if there's a local who wants to join us/make suggestions as to where we should meet, by all means chime in. mahalo!

we'll be meeting for sunday dinner and sunset at duke's at 4.45pm. (i tried for a 5.30 reservation but they're booked until 9.30.) we can have a round of drinks before ordering dinner...thus assuring us a lovely sunset view! ^

I'm game. Though you may have to forgive my crummy attitude, as the DFW-HNL MR deal isn't available in the reverse.

Normally we'd hop on over to see ya, but having just been to HNL for Pro Bowl last weekend, and heading off to Vegas next weekend, I'm afraid we'll have to take a raincheck.

Have a great DO and catch you twice next time!

Aloha kakou!

I'm in too. A late brunch or dinner works well for me.

i'm leaning towards an early dinner on sunday, thinking that people may want to do beach/the arizona/pearl harbor during the day and time zones will favor an early meal.

(having lived in hawaii, my plan is to find some shade and read a book or see a movie. )

does anyone know honolulu well enough to suggest a location?

I confess that I know HNL very very well.
There are many good options for a rendezvous.
I know it is generic but the Cheesecake Factory in the heart of Waikiki has apparently usurped the Planet Hollywood in MCO as the world's "busiest" restaurant (highest grossing?)
Anyways - that's their story!
The beauty of this locale is that we will all know each other very well after our very LONG wait to get in.
But, you can feel the "pulse" outside on the promenade!
I would suggest Saturday night and I am prepared to assist with the logistics!

Arriving SA, 03/01 around 8:30 PM. Leaving MO, 03/03 at 7:00 AM.

Still looking into accomodations [anyone interested in a share?], but will definitely have a compact rental car [good deal at Dollar using American Express card and Promo Code AX10].

I wish they had this deal from LAX on UA, I would so be there! My favorite restaurant in Honolulu is The Side Street Inn. You really should experience the true local cuisine! Another fave is the Like Like Drive Inn. Both are excellent and just thinking about them makes me wish I were going!
