No other carriers for me. My BWI-EZE was 90k for this past Cow DO but they aren't showing those awards as available for some reason. Hopefully they will open up.

I had touble finding J availability on AA, then I realized they have F where they had lots of availability. :)

I don't want to use the extra miles and it is very likely I will return through DFW where F isn't even available. :p

Actually, I can't even find F availability. :(

Well, taz, FWIW, I haven't been able to find J/F seat availability out of SEA for the dates I want, either, other than "AAnytime awards" at redemption values too rich for my tastes. Guess I'll just buy a coach bucket seat and hope for C/Z to clear with a pair of VIP's down the road sometime. Mebbe it's too early, since I think we just crossed the "magic" 329 day threshold a few days ago...

Honestly as long as I can get my two exit row seats I'll be happy with the back of the bus. I havent looked yet but its 40k per back there. Still have 2 more days to wait to get my return....

Staying through Sept 6 this time with a Falls trip at the end.

I have my trip booked. I'll be on the back of bus this time around, I'll be taking the new ORD-EZE direct that AA is offering.

That is what I am hoping, although, plenty of 40k coach awards available.

Question for everyone though. I am not going to be the states on Saturday when my return day opens up for reservation. I want to include the falls on this trip but don't think I can book multi city awards on AA.com. Can I place on hold the long haul parts and then call while still on hold to add the stop over? And not that it matters in this case, but will this avoid the fee for the call?

I don't think you will be able to avoid the fee in this case since you will need to call to add the falls. Not so much because of the multi-city aspect but for the need to use other carriers. Putting the long haul parts on hold and calling to add the falls shouldn't be a problem.

I'm certainly not the expert here but that's the way I understand it.

OK. We are looking good for this one. Delta has cooperated by having award seats available and we have ticketed in to EZE on 27Aug early AM and out on 2 Sept late PM. All other plans to be made next year.

I have on hold with AA my two award seats on the long haul. Will deal with the falls when I get back to the states next week. Looked at the spg site though and all rooms are over 300 us this year. and pre paid at that. going to wait on the hotel reservations.

We fly in Friday morning and leave Saturday evening a week later with the last thursday and friday nights planned up at the falls.

Tenmoc - When I stayed there last time, I bit the bullet and paid $285/night (pre-paid, not inclusive of the 21% tax). I'm not exactly proud of posting what I paid, but there really isn't much choice if you want to stay in the Park.

You can honestly get everything done in a day a half, so spending one night at the Falls is quite doable. I spent two nights there, and I got to lounge around relax and for half a day at the hotel's cafe terrace that overlooks the falls, which was nice for me as I had just finished a hellacious month at work.

But if I ever go back to bring friends or family, I could show them everything with just a one night stay.

OK, got this booked on AA. Arriving Friday morning, 8/29 6:05AM MIA-EZE AA 909, leaving Monday night, 9/1 AA 996 EZE-DFW at 9:25 PM. Cancelled the booking at the Sheraton Libertador, got a 17th floor condo in Palermo overlooking the botanical gardens. I can taste the lomo and vino tinto already...
