Thanks for the advice, skye1! I read the reviews--it seems that people have different (and strong) opinions about the two Sheratons, and the price is pretty much even, so I'll likely toss a coin.
I was hoping that someone who's stayed at the Sheraton as an SPG Plat, and also stayed at the Intercontinental as an RA, could compare the experiences. It's hard to find comparisons between chains in the forums. Another thought is to see what kinds of SPG promo's are in place then...check out bonus point offers for either, or any "xxxx number of points for xxx number of nights", etc. One thought is that if you're really NEEDING stay credits, or multiple stays in a certain period of time (per a promo or something) stay at both, one night at each. Again, they're just not that far from each other. Or, maybe several Do attendees will all be at one, then it's kinda' cool to have a "hotel central" to meet up w/ people at. |
Put me down as a maybe for this one , with a possible +1

You will find over the course of the weekend that someone will be at any of the hotels. But the Libertador seems to be hotel central for the past couple events. I've become quite familiar with the rooms, furniture and even quality of the doors in this place and have never actually stayed here.
Cabs are cheap enough in BsAs that you can be pretty much anywhere and be ok to the group and events. I have updated the lists to what I believe to be correct. Give it a look and let me know if we need to make any modifications. |

I sent an email to the Libertador to see what the parameters would need to be for us to get a group rate.

'bout time :D Missed ya last year, Harv. Looks like it's gettin' t' be a good crowd! Unless some lucky SPG plats snag those suites on the 21st floor like last year, we might have to have the after hours tastings in the lobby as per two years ago...if only those Libertador walls could talk...

The Libertador walls don't have any incriminating stories, but the walls of other places definitely have a few.
