I just can't find OW tickets that are cheap enough to be considered basically a MR weekend.

I will post when i know I can make it later in the year and see who is up again.

Hmm. Make me a maybe for this one, I have to see what my exam schedule will look like. I can probably give you something more definite around the end of May or so. It would be nice to visit SIN once again.

Unfortunately, I've already scheduled my MR to SIN the first weekend in July... too bad.

(Er, and also I'm getting married a few days after this DO, and future Mrs. turing might be a little irritated if I went. )

I know. I just want to make sure I don't have to take an exam while jet-lagged (or go directly from the airport to the exam)!

Although they are connected, we are trying to choose between Brewerkz (American food & Beer) and Cafe Iguana (Mexican food & Margaritas). Anyone have a preference? Also, does anyone with experience know whether reservations are required for either of these places for a Sunday night?

Thanks!

DUDE! In SINGAPORE?! You are trying to decide between American and Mexican?

Oh well... I guess I know what I'm doing on Saturday night when you and AJ are showing Sri Lanka what it's all about. Fish head curry, tiger prawns and crab here I come.

You saw how much I, erm... enjoyed Dim Sum in San Francisco, so consider this my favor to you!

Sunday night tends to be rather quiet, but if we end up being more than say, 8 people, I would definitely recommend reserving seats. Especially if we want to sit outside by the quayside, which I highly recommend. There is limited space out there. This goes for both Brewerkz and Cafe Iguana. I would prefer Cafe Iguana, simply because of the Margaritas. Their Mexican food is decent. Brewerkz has burgers, ribs and stuff. Not really the sort of food you want to have when it's 90 degrees outside.

Though I agree that there are much, much better (but more exotic) culinary choices in Singapore. Be adventureous!

You may want to check out IndoChine at Clarke Quay for a more local taste that is still acceptable to most Western palates.

Thanks for the advice, Alex. For now we will stick with 6:00PM at Cafe Iguana, then. Hope you can make it!
