It looks like I won't be coming after all. I have a little matter I have to take care of that reared it's ugly head. I'll be there in spirit though.

Geez, what's with everyone bailing (except Owlchick of course.. get well soon!)

I would bail too... except that I'm already in SD, so I might as well follow through

I know, I know, it's sad to lose some folks - but it gives those of us who come a better chance to visit with everyone.

Thanks to chrissxb for providing the inspiration for dinner and along with windflyer arranged layovers on mileage runs to come. It was great to catch up with TransWorldOne who grabbed an WN Ding fare to join us. IceTrojan, you are now an honorary San Diegan and on the list for future San Diego dinners. Redbeard911, I don't envy your early morning wake up call, but I do envy you BBQ in Kansas City tomorrow night. NCRBill, it was great to meet my fellow CMB runner. I hope you and your wife will come out again. And lili, it's always great to see you.

hiyo, Filippis was the perfect suggestion, given that we had two fellows to be delivered to the airport at different times. redbeard911 headed to the restaurant while we were at the airport. He tells me our group had to wait 20 minutes for our reserved table; needless to say, the State Senator at the adjacent table at no such wait!

Thanks all for a great time

It was really fun to meet up with so many great people. SanDiego1k has done so well getting this up and running and both Mrs NCRBILL and myself had a great time.

It was great to see chrissxb again! Now I can say I've ran into him both in Germany and now in my hometown. It was really great seeing you again.

We look forward to the next DO here in SAN or anywhere we meet up for that matter.

Thanks redbeard911, glad you thought to get there early. SanDiego1K great get-together!

What State Senator?? I heard redbeard mention noisy politicians, but thought the group was just a bunch of birthday boys slightly out of control. (Or is that a definition of a politician? )

Great to meet TransWorldOne, ChrisSXB, NCRBill +1, Windflyer, IceTrojan, and see SD1K, +1, and redbeard911 again.

Juan Vargas, assembly member from Chula Vista, was in the middle of that large group.

There's always civicmon's farewell dinner, in late March. You and he can set the example.
