FT luggage tags work
Checked into the W SF yesterday and saw someone walking around with FT luggage tags. Turned out it was AuH20 and we happened to be staying across the hall from one another at the W.
Had it not been for the tags, I would have had to get toasted at the bar alone!

I've met a lot of FT'ers on many continents solely due to these yellow FT tags, including a guy in the Alamo courtesy bus in Atlanta earlier this year.
I met a FT'er via the bright Yellow bag tags on a ferry from Puerto Rico to Vieques Island in the Caribbean. We chatted for the hour ferry trip, and I now forget how to spell his handle.
Met gotti-gotti in the Centraal Railway Station in Amsterdam who spotted our tag.
Was sitting oposite NCRBill in exit rows 15 upstairs on a UA 747 Biz class. We did not realise it until I took my bag down from the overhead, and then went and had a party in the nearest RCC.
And sitting in front of cblaisd in First Class on a US domestic flight. Again, putting bag up in overhead caught his eye, and we caught up in the airport on arrival for a nice chat.
warrenlm was on a flight we took this year somewhere in the USA.
And a few other times. They are worth adding to your suitcase and carry on as they really stand out. They cost near nothing, and if nothing else, often get your suitcase express handled as they say "PRIORITY" on both sides. ^
Punki took this photo below in the snow, of Rudi, myself and Hunki schlepping suitcases last year in Wengen Switzerland where Rudi has a chalet. You can readily see how bright the tags are - and how we all have them ..... mine are on there, trust me!

I think he did himself in when he ordered a Chopin martini at Asia de Cuba on an empty stomach!

Fear
Just got some, considering putting one on my carry on.
My great fear: How long till some TSA burro-crat issues a SSI to the crew:
"All cattle/pax with yellow FT tags are Known Troublemakers and Pax with a Negative Attitude to TSA Incompetency. This will not be tolerated.
Automatic secondary and the works for all yellow FT tag holders"
Strip search em, Denno!

Had 2 "spottings" since I got the tags 6 months ago:
1. Randomman spotted me in the RCC at LAX and we had a nice chat.
2. Just this week while giving a presentation in Chicago, one of the people that I was presenting to approached me and told me he was an F/Ter, but wasn't sure of his handle, as he hadn't been on in quite a while. And for what it's worth, I got the funding I was requesting... ^
FYI, I keep one on my computer bag and one on my luggage....

I met Randy Petersen!
I was at the United Terminal 3 at ORD this morning. I saw the back of someone looking out the window, who had a yellow FT tag on his carry on. I decided to walk over and introduce myself. Who should it be but Randy Petersen!!

I bumped into GodOSpoons as we were both leaving the international terminal at BOS on Friday. Had a very tight connection to SFO in a different terminal, so didn't have much time to chat.
