Hi all
I didn't plan to make this trip and I still have no plans but right now the possibility is there. I am ticketed on the following flights ORD-NRT-SIN (waitlisted for C) on 5/25 SIN-HKG-ORD (waitlisted for C) on 5/31 So I could easily make a trip to Bali on the 27th returning on 28th. I will keep you guys updated. Thanks |

Yes! I have to tell you, that CGK's friend W, will have 3 guests instead of 2 as previously stated. Confirmed flights to Bali M-1 K-1 Bad news... UA was fumbling with my original reservation and ended up cancelling it. They couldn't get it back for me which means I'm no longer on the party flight :mad: |

I'm about to leave Bali for SIN and I thought I'd give you all a brief report. First of all, the weather has been GREAT lately. Second, hardly anyone is here. The place is quite empty.
I'm at the Intercontinental in Jimbaran which is a really, really, really nice hotel. For Club guests, they have a Club at the airport and they escort you through immigration and customs. No lines and a cool lemongrass drink in the club followed by a smooth ride to the hotel in a Jaguar. Free eats and drinks anytime you want in the Club. While we sampled that, we of course left this fine resort to see the real Bali and eat real Balinese food. We rented a scooter to drive around to Nusa Dua, Kuta, etc. Lots of fun. For me, a scooter is the only way to get around this part of Bali. I'm happy that this is the low season. I don't think I'd like it here during the high season. I realize this is on very very short notice.... but: I've just found a fantastic (non-public) airfare on SQ for ZRH-DPS, and I might just be able to make it to Bali for this weekend. Is it too late to join? Would I still be able to find a hotel room? Or share one?
Would be awesome if this were to work out... |
I am just back from Bali too after a wonderful two week stay, and the island was quite empty... You should not have too many problems to find a hotel room.
