Jerrie and I have our week after the Bali DO planned as we got a timeshare trade into the Medewi Bay Retreat out to the west.
The one review of the place had these comments:
We had requests in for either the week prior or the week after and since it is the after we now only have to book into DO central where ever that might be for the weekend and get the magic carpet booked for the flights.

It was sad leaving such a piece of paradise.
Best things about the resort
The staff...they are excellent. Our experience was unforgettable. The resort is newly opened in October 2003.........
Best things near by
Nothing - that's why it is an excellent experience. No telephones, traffic, hawkers and sellers, shopping, no nothing. Just a peaceful place by the beach.

Best Airline to Bali? Where to stopover?
My SO and I will be travelling next May (unfortuntaley the wk prior to Bali Do) to Bali from SFO (or LAX) and want to have a stop over somewhere. Does anyone have any suggestions? We are thinking about doing a 23 hr visit to HKG but want to go somewhere else for 3 days or so. We plan on flying business on SQ as we have heard it is the best to Asia. Recommendations are greatly appreciated.
