sorry, but I don't feel sorry for you.

when push comes to shove, you are milking a "friendship" you had with someone you hadn't seen in 25 years...which is not in and of itself, a big deal. However, there are much better ways to pitch a book or get sales then trying to entice the lowest common denominator.

There are many writers on FT who pitch their work all the time -= myself included - and I have never seen any of them stoop to the tactics I see on your site.
EDIT/CORRECTION BELOW _ changes the whole meaning of what I meant to say
And I can't beleive I'M defending the memory of B Watson - a member who I had MANY an argument with time and time again over his snobbishness.

Meaning - I would have guessed I'd be the last person to defend someone's memory I couldn't stand...yet I am...

Have you ever had a book published by a major publisher? If so, I would be interested in any advice you have. What specifically do you dislike about the site? Thanks for your comments.

E.g.

"you are always on about SOMETHING...first your obento, now your points..why wasn't your assistant making the rez for you???

chill out, you'll live longer...."

I just read the majority of your repartee with the late Mr. Watson. He really offended you didn't he? Yet it appears that you, like many others on this site, took great pleasure in being baited by him. Ah, guilty pleasures. In addition, your comments about this forum encouraging snobbery are, as Mr. Watson would have said in his affected manner, "Spot On!"

You'll buy the book. You'll keep it hidden and read it under the covers with a flashlight. And you will love it.

IME, a website is not going to make or break your book deal. It's a nice thing to have, but it's a great proposal that gets you the agent and then the publisher. Seeing that you don't have a publisher yet (do you have an agent?), your release date is quite ambitious. For that to happen your book should probably be in galleys by now.

I have had many, many articles, reviews, and poetry published by major publishers, as have many other FT'ERS.If you wanted help w/ the publishing world, I and I'm sure many others would have been forthcoming with advice and contacts. it's a great community that way. I personally even tho I am a "nobody" have many contacts I would have been happy to share w/ you rre agents, publishing houses etc.
HOWEVER - you have chosen to go the Enquirer route and that's your choice.
Now that you HAVE a book contract why the need to keep the site full of its schlocky focus?

And no, I will not buy the book. I have never bought a book like this in my life and probably never will. But if it is serialized in the Enquirer I will read it....

You apparently missed the part where he said he still has to sell this project.

In other words the answer is no, you have never had a book published.

uhh yes I have, a book of poetry... by a major publisher, some years ago...

since i am not a book writer I have not had a nonfiction book published...but certainly have my opinions on how to go abouut it...

and again., I thought you HAD a book deal - if your website has been created to try and get a book deal, then your boasting of a publicatation date of fall 2005 is no better a scam than any of B Watson's..

As much fun as it is to bait you, I will end this by saying thank you for your comments. And I hope to prove you wrong. Good luck as a playwrite.

What's your name? It's very easy to hide behind pseudonyms on these boards. My identity is completely in the open. I'm outing you right now because I frankly don't believe you.
